Hello there I just sent a message regarding my trades being gone.. idk if the message goes to you or an AI bot but I came across your website and found it great I even donated. But I am a Wildland firefighter which meansj I am gone 7-21 days at a time and I just got back and all my trades are gone?? Someone told me that if I don’t update my trades every few days they disappear? Is this true? I just got off the side of a mountain cutting line for 7 days straight with no shower no service or anything all we have is our radios to contact our crew members, supervisors, and adjoining forces. How am I supposed to update my trades every few days so they don’t disappear when I have no service literally on the side of a mountain in a tent.. if this is true then I have completely judged your site wrong and find it ridiculous. This is supposed to be my one stress reliever relaxation time when I get back after not showering for over a week sometime 3 weeks! Please get back to me asap regarding this issue because it takes forever to repost my trades with screenshots and details about the items I am trading. Which if I have to do every few days is absurd m. At least to people that have real jobs, dangerous jobs, public service jobs, that require time away from this. As a donator and a respectful passionate player that’s been playing Diablo since it came out I would like an explanation or an accommodation or something! Please get back to me asap, thank you.

Trades that haven't been bumped or had any replies in them for more than 3 days will be automatically purged. The reasoning is to save disk space (it might seem cheap - but if you think this website makes its owner a lot of money, it's quite the opposite, it barely breaks even as far as I know), because trade activity was far higher around the launch of D2R and during the first couple of ladder seasons, so all those trades, with high resolution images, takes up a lot of space. Trade activity (and activity in the game as a whole) has since gone down quite a bit, so there has been talks of changing this policy.

Believe me that you are not the first person who have learnt this the hard way (nor the first time it has come up), by losing all their trades, and I'm sorry about that! It takes a lot of effort to list a long list of items, I know. Most people are able to work around this even when gone for extended periods of time by opening the site on their phone and tapping the "bump all trades" button, but I understand that you're not "most people". Not having any kind of connection for more than 3 days seems incompatible with the current site policy. I think with the way the site works at this time, your only option would be to ask someone to bump your trades on your behalf while you are away without a connection for these long periods of time.

I've asked Teebling (the site admin & owner) to fill in as well with his point of view and what, if any, plans he has around this.

Unfortunately there's also currently no way to restore expired trade listings.

The latest site update has added a feature called "Freeze Trades" with which you can put all your trade listing on hold until you unfreeze them. They don't need to be bumped while frozen, and they can be left in this frozen state however long you want (as far as I know). They'll be hidden from trade lists while frozen, but at least it's a way to get around the problem where you can't bump trades due to lack of connection for more than 3 days in a row.
