if you are console only and can't trade on pc, a lot of times people will over pay relative to the pc market for something they want/need.

Close call for a GG Low Level Dueling jewel. Perfect roll on cold res and dex with -15% req. Max Dmg is 3 off perfect. Can't imagine how much it would be worth with +20% ED or 6 strength (max below lvl30)

One of the nicest persons on this forum helped me out rerolling my Insight... I ran out of

Tir runes and he gave me 3.

Nah, it happens on PC as well. Rarely, but it does happen.
And it's generally simply a matter of someone being in a rush to finish something they're doing, so they need X specifically and are willing to pay extra for it, OR to quickly break down something expensive into more easily traded "cash".

Look for giveaways here on the forum, half my best gear, including a 2nd Enigma, now comes from those after just half a year...

However, my 1st Enigma came from me trading my only ever

Ber both, they asked if had Enigma, and when i said no, they dropped a

Jah and said "Make one". And there's more friendly people like that around, just a matter of running into them at the right time.

Aside from that, i've gotten most my runes by trading gems. So, personally i like to do Countess and

Arcane Sanctuary(total clear), that way, you get runes, keys and gems, all of which you can trade.
Even if you're unlucky, in a few months with an average of just a few runs like that per day, you can get an Enigma.

Another thing you can try is checking the free items games, the vast majority that get dropped are lowend or lowroll stuff, but if you have the patience, there's plenty that you CAN get something decent for in trade. And sometimes, there's the people that drop over 200 Annis in a single game... *lol*
Or drop midrange runes by the dozens. And so on.

In the last 6 months, i've made my own first ever Grief, Enigma, Heart of the Oak,

Crescent Moon, Call To Arms, as well as a couple of Duress and many less costly runewords. And yet i still have much more and better runes today than i had before that. The single big difference was that i came up with a build using what gear i had, that could reliably run several places in Hell, which was then speeded up a lot thanks to that 1st Enigma.

So yeah, it's not easy or quick, but i have notoriously epic bad luck finding stuff and even i've managed to upgrade this well by now... Means anyone can do it.

The only reason I visit public games is if I help people or get torch/anni. Other than that Im always in my own private game struggling to find anything and public games I dont find anything either because everyone autopicks everything.
