I appreciate the help with this Kakumba, it seems like the drop down box for attachment wasnt working before, it is now opening up and allowing me to insert my file. I think this had something to do with my account being very new and not yet verified..

But it seems to be working now, thanks again!

Do you mean like this? Because indeed, you dont get a preview when creating a post, it just shows that there will be an attachment

it comes out like this when i save it as a screenshot

OK, no sure exactly what steps you are following here, but I am on Linux and will tell you how I do it. I use the screenshot tool (most of them will have similar options, even if you use a different one) to select a region, and then copy it to clipboard (rather than saving to a file)

In the editor window here, I type the relevant text, then use Ctrl + c to paste what is in the clipboard. All the good things automagically happen, and the image is uploaded and inserted, as per my previous comment.

It looks like you are just copying the path to the image file, rather than the image itself

I'm also playing on Linux and I usually save the screenshot as file then upload it with the form.
Works great but I will give a try with the copy/paste of the image.

My timezone is CET/UTC+1.
