Description

Auto Mods are mods that "automatically" show up on all versions of an item, whether it's normal, low quality (Cracked, Crude, Damaged, Low Quality), magic, or rare. One Auto Mod from a given group is chosen for the item based on a random number and the level of the item (and the requirements of the Auto Mod). Like standard affixes, some of the strongest Auto Mods do not spawn on rare items.

Auto affix names are not used for display, only Auto Mod properties are shown on the items.

The Level Requirements of the Auto Mods are never applied to non-magic items.

Thanks, this is really useful. A little question: Is it possible to roll a magic orb with 80 mana and 3 to kill tree, 3x3 to staff mod with FCR and socket?

3 to skill tree + FCR + socket
would be 3 affixes... not possible on magic
(and rare cannot have 3 to kill tree)

but, you can have a magic with 80 mana and 3 to skill tree, 3x3 to staff mod and FCR, and then add socket with Act 5 quest 😉
(but the chances were not on your side...)

this is incorrect. rolling with 3 normal gems on a
Heavenly Stone
gives it sockets and sets it affix level to 60, based on its quality level since its ilvl gets dropped to 25. (qlvl[59] + magicLvl[1]). +3 skills + sockets + automods + suffix.

yes this actually is possible, the 3 normal gem recipe adds sockets and sets ilvl to 25, resulting in heavenly stones using its quality level to set affix (becomes 60 aka +3). so if you get lucky you can get, +3 with 2 sockets, automods, and a suffix

I really don't know if qlvl and mlvl affect or not the alvl on recipes that set a specific level for the item 🤔🤔

Reading again
they all say ilvl, so you are right 👍👊
qlvl and mlvl will be used to determine the alvl.

And considering qlvl higher than the ilvl of the recipe:

alvl = qlvl + mlvl
(if it has mlvl)

or

alvl = qlvl - qlvl/2 = qlvl/2 (round up)
(If it has no mlvl, and qlvl < 66)

or

alvl = qlvl *2 - 99
(If it has no mlvl, and qlvl >= 66)


But... The staff mods (+1-3 to Skill Y) are based on ilvl (raw)
so for a recipe that create a ilvl 25 item or a ilvl 30 item, it may have +1-3 to skills of L6 to L24 (cannot have +1-3 to skills of L1 or L30)

That's probably why there is no recipe that create a item with fixed ilvl lower than 25:
so you can't create a item with +1-3 to a L1 skill and high alvl with those recipes

yep the only downside to the 3 normal gem recipe is that ilvl 25-36 items can only spawn with tier 2-5 skills, making it impossible to roll for +mastery. it still an amazing overlooked use of normal gems
