Crown of Ages with 1 Socket only.

Then the first Unique

Sacred Armor in years... and of course it was Templars Might.

Sometimes the line between posting in the "you got really lucky" and this topic is incredibly thin

Has anyone else told all of Cathan's bullshit to fuck off like over a hundred times? That and all of Isenharts bullshit?

Eh, not exactly?
The Isenhart sword is good for early levelling if you can spare the space and don't have anything better.

And Cathan's, the ability to get +15-20 fire damage from level 11, from just the ring(an extra +10 Str) and either the

Helm(+2 def/lvl), armor(attacker takes 5 damage) or amulet(+25MF if you use 3 parts), is together with a

Raven Claw from lvl 15 a very decent way of reach level 25 and a bit onwards if you have a few fire dmg charms or have used up some sockets to increase the fire damage more(

Flawless Ruby in the bow to keep its level req from going up).
10-16 plus 15-20, plus 17-26 from the explosive

Arrows on the bow. That's 42-62 fire damage that splashes with every shot, very nice way to reap monster groups from lvl 15.

It's absolutely not good stuff, but for early levelling, they can make good sense as an addition if you haven't bothered getting something better.
Really wish they would add something on all the poor set parts that scales with level though. Or heck, use up more of the affix slots on each part and especially the partial set bonuses, so you could have more use for them.

Yes but now instead of getting mad I just identify it and check if its perfect and pretend this makes me happy

if it had been just about any another talent tree, this would've been so good as a 'budget' Mara

With the level and stat requirements, how much better CAN you get?
Sure, you can go to the trouble of getting a weapon with many sockets, probably a sword or

Flail with 4, and then put low level minimum or maximum damage jewels in it, but is the small difference worth the effort?

Like, say you get a

Crystal Sword with 6 sockets from much later, and take the time to fill with 6 +4 min dmg jewels.
Great, you now how a 29-39 dmg sword you can use from level 3. But how long and how much effort did it take to get all the jewels and the sword?
Or you can put 6 20/2 psn dmg jewels in and use it from level 1 if you have something with +strength... And then put another 3 each in a

Mask and an armor(

Breast Plate)... And why not a shield as well!

*lol* Now you're doing 300/2 psn dmg. Really impressive and effective truly. But again, worth the effort?
Or you can replace the psn jewels in the sword with

Chipped Topaz, giving it +6-48 lightning damage, and still useable from lvl 1.
Or go with flawed rubies and get +30-48 fire damage. Very decent, especially if you still have 180/2 psn dmg as well.

So yeah, it's easy to get very munchkin in THEORY, but it's just far too much work to do an "optimal levelling gear", because you only use it for the first hour, maybe 2 or 3 depending, of play with a character.

Me, i just saved up those 20/2 psn dmg jewels i found with my first chars, then put them in a

Mask and armor, then put 3 gems in a bow, add Hsarus

Boots and

Belt(other stuff that often drops and is useful), and levelling is quick. Replace with Sigon's

Boots,

Belt and gloves as soon as have enough strength to wear, potentially adding the shield and armor as well.

Combine all Angelic parts except the

Sabre, add a 2nd ring, and you have massive attack rating and +100 MF, which is nice to have while levelling, as well as +1 to all skills already at level 12. Together with above Sigon parts, you can have 150%MF, +2 all skills and overall pretty good setup by level 12, right in time to shred Andy extremely quickly.
Switch weapon to

Raven Claw with a

Flawless Ruby and put all the low level +fire dmg charms in inventory, and now you're doing lots of splash fire damage instead, very nice for the next 10+ levels.

Breast Plate. Although me and a friend are making jokes about it and treat it like a legendary item every time we find it (which is almost every run in anything we do)

I actually, 1st time ever find a

Demonhorn's Edge, and it drops with 2/1/3 to skills...
*sigh*

At least this one dropped in TZ and I could use it for cubing :-O

ive got the same luck when it comes to charms. Always the worst skill possible and usually no adds, but if somehow do have adds; it will be garbage anyway.
