Have you also noticed that there are fewer trades for "crafting materials" lately?

Description

Hi

Currently, it seems to me that there are very few trades buying
Perfect Skull
,
Ral
,
Perfect Amethyst
,
Hel
or
Perfect Ruby
🤔🤔
(softcore, non-ladder)

A few months ago, I could easily find trades to sell my extra materials (I rarely needed to create a self trade to sell them)..., but in the last weeks it's been hard to find any...

Does anyone else share this sentiment? Any ideas of the reason?

For a while: not accepting
Ral
and considering
Perfect Skull
as a regular
Perfect Gems
on my trades.

Imo those are hella easy to find so most likely botters find them in such large numbers they are cheaply bought off of them elsewhere so less people rely on using the trading section of this website. I could be terribly wrong but this is just what I believe atm. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A likely reason for fewer crafting material trades is there are far fewer people playing the game. Remember when you could logon to join Cows, Chaos, Tombs, and WSK runs? Now you would be lucky to find one. I stopped collecting Rals and Pgems months ago. I still pickup
Hel
runes and Amethysts, but the people I used to trade with have left the game so now I use them for my own crafts or trade them for Keys.

Please post offer in item trade before adding me on Bnet, I'm in EST time zone (E Coast U.S)

Maybe most of the crafters are playing the new ladder season? I've had no problems at all selling Rals and PAmes on ladder. Got 2
Vex
for 30ish PAmys and 2
Ist
for 32
Ral
effortlessly in the past 2 days.

I must confess that on the one hand I am not a big but rather "special" seller (e. g. I doubt anyone here wants to buy 200-400 unid annis 😉) and on the other that it is hard to find the items I am looking for on this plattform. E. g. a few weeks ago I was looking for Mosaic
Claws
, "bare" Martial Arts Skillers, a perfect lightning facet etc. but found almost nothing here on offer. However, I really would have liked to buy these things here... Besides that I still pick up every gem and low rune because on other platforms in my experience you can still sell them relatively fast (even
Ort
,
Thul
,
Eth
or
Ith
runes with the right amount). E. g. I have no problem selling 120 pgems for
Jah
or
Ber
+
Lo
.

However, one of my resolutions for the new year is to put some things in the trade section here like bases and maybe even crafting materials as well as having a section with free items for beginners. I hope I find some time in the next weeks to put some trades up 🙂

OP
I never had trouble in buying the items I wanted (at least unique/set and high runes) on this site.

And until last weeks never had trouble with "crafting materia" trades...

But maybe people are playing less (i saw some signatures saying that the user is changing to another game 😓) or using another site 🤔

This games had a hell of a run guys, the fact our community is still here is amazing. Look at current top leader boards for lv99, last I checked there weren't even 1k that made it. And I'm sure it was mostly bots for last few ladders up there anyways

This site https://d2trader.net/item-price-checker/ doesn't work anymore like it did last ladder and before. I always used it for a quick price check, and now even common uniques aren't listed.

I suspect many players quit the game after three ladders without anything new.

Botruns (CS/Baal) also disappeared in nonladder, which is a good thing for me. I did many chilled runs with nice parties in the last week.

In the long run, we may possibly expect increasing prices for rare items.

So, buy some HRs.

ElSolDolLol

For low items I also accept: Perfect Amys,
Ral
,
Hel
, Tokens, Keys. Please don't offer runes lower than
Pul
(with the named exceptions).

NO PM OFFERS PLEASE! BE FAIR AND WRITE INTO THE THREAD :)

Really wouldn't be hard to just add more items, I remember watching a video someone read d2lod script or something and seen many uniques and runewords that are not unlocked/enabled in loot tables. Tis a shamee

I play the bnet NL almost like singleplayer mode, so I haven't noticed much difference in trade activity except that there just is Less Players overall doing any trading at all, period.
Even I recently came back after a 2 year hiatus after being disappointed and bored with poe2, but I am glad all my builds are still here. Our D2 community will always be split between L, NL, SP only, plus any other games that people play and quit d2 or come back from.

If you find good or useful drops, if you can't or don't use them yourself, it's always a safe bet to stash it on a mule, that's what I do. Excess pgems can always be gambled on magic rerolls, skulls can reroll rares, you can craft items or recipes yourself, etc.

I try to keep 100+ items up for sale/trade/free at all times just for people to have options :). I've been slacking lately. Thank you for motivating to go through my mules and add more things!

I am permanently no longer accepting
Ort
or
Thul
runes as trade currency

Not to mention the splitting of NL and L into hardcore as well

Not that I know a lot but I have a feeling that the trades will go up once season ends or new holiday comes.

*cough* rofl.

I still come here once every 2-3 days to refresh & keep my archive materials alive...it would be quite gut wrenching to just throw it all away due to inactivity.

Surprisingly (or un-surprisingly rather...i still am #1 on the trade stats page on d2.io)...haha - even when trade is pretty much dead or non-existant in this game.

Yes i've moved on to POE2 from D2r - it's been living rent free basically since the introduction of the EA drop last month ($30 USD entry, but you get 300 coins to spend on MTX) and slowly upgradable to other supporter packs. (e.g Spend another 30USd for the 60USd starter ..so on and so forth)

Currently half the game is released as campaign, + end game modes. There are 2 difficulty modes (normal + cruel, cruel being similar to how Normal transitions to NM for d2r)

I'm sure as new content gets updated with new classes they would introduce another +1 difficulty in time.

It truly is a love letter to D2. You would feel right at home with their wording of prefixes & suffixes. Nothing ridiculous like those found in D3 or D4.

Hell there is even a Cain archetype in POE2 disguised as Zeratul. Leave that up to anyone to figure that one out w/o spoilers LOL.

Graphics are stellar, soundtrack & atmospheric sounds amazing & dynamic, super memorable Act Bosses (especially Act 1...goated!) Amazing custom artwork for every unique item.

GGG - amazing dev. and more importantly - gamers from the start..that's fundamental.

Stacking currency, item drop filters, challenging (and at times punishing end game mechanics) , Dark Souls Lite ARPG would be as loose as i can described.

250K players on at any given one time - with no BTA items making trade and item chasing (and power creep) pretty much what grinding is all about.

Player count as of time of this post:
p.S PM me if you wanna add as friend :)

Currently moving on to Path Of Exile 2 - Always looking for ORBS. PM if you wish to trade.

I still play NL, I don’t have any more char spots since end of 1st ladder haha
No way I’m deleting a lvl 96 or 97 just for the thrill of finding sigons on ladder again
Just keep looking, we’re out there
7
^ but trading is also dying because of people such as yourself, holding on to characters and never needing any gear lol as much as I love to help new players and drop frees, I tend to find myself just deleting characters. I was out here this ladder looking for sigs lmao got a set for free though, but that's what I mean. There's no demand anymore, people ARE playing

I still am dedicated to D2, mainly because I do not have all day or week to play because I have a job and IRL things, so I don't have an account with all level 9x chars in all slots fully kitted out in endgame. My progression is slow, but steady, and it's more rewarding to do this in my limited time, thus I prefer NL. Last time I was in L, I barely had time to play or progress, and it was over before I could do anything, lol. Just my 2 cents, I guess I'm a "part-timer." =P

Despite the decline in interest in the game, I've actually been hard at work on a number of updates and new features for the site here, if that's a consolation to any of you still hanging out here :)

What Diablo 2 needs now - more than ever - is a real expansion pack. I know the chances are next to none, but I still believe and pray for that day!

Right there with you. Part time has its advantages because it leaves a few long term goals to work towards slowly (finding my first
Death's Web
, etc.)
