Video looks great. But nothing will change my opinion D4 is PoS anyway.
Thanks, but, no, thanks.
OP
Was that a factor?
Blizz charging full price for an xpack + absorbing VV into D4 dev full time leaves D2r in the Dust & cost the game potential further updates.
E.G This + all D4 updates after the last major patch for D2r more than a year ago.

D2R was made by passionate people over at Vicarious Visions, later renamed to Blizzard Albany, after the merger with Blizzard. Almost none of the people who worked on D2R are left working for Blizzard!
Jen Oneal - Studio Head. Left shortly after the merger, due to woman discrimination fiasco... When she left, several VV people went with her to form Magic Soup Games studio...
Rob Gallerani - Studio Design Director. Main Guy behind Terror Zones, Sunder Charms, Runewords and Char Gem ARG easter egg. Guy behind many live pre-release interviews. Left in May last year, just few days before 2.7 Patch. The last true patch that we got is because of him.
Kyle Martin - Senior Game Producer. Promoted to Lead Game Producer for Diablo IV.
Simon Ebejer, Thomas Jaklitsch, Barry Morales, Marisa Graff - All Senior Game Producers and Production Directors, They have been moved to DIablo IV or let go.
Andy Lomerson - Visual Effects Art Specialist. Worked for Vicarious Visions for 22 years btw. Dustin King - Associate Art Director. Rachel Relyea, Natalie Frost, and many other Artists, Environment Leads, VFX... All that made D2R look like it does... All laid off as one of those 1900 Microsoft-Blizzard employees.
Simply put, there is no one left at blizzard who worked on D2R.

If they had given it out for free, as an apology for such a horrible launch, I might've been interested. But asking me to pay more money to give this game another shot, is a slap in the face from where I'm sitting. Maybe will grab expansion on a steep discount down the road at some point. But that's a BIG maybe. Would pay $5-$10, at most.

Understand where you are coming from based on the matter of Principle (btw cool underrated RW imo!)Zero187 wrote: 4 months ago If they had given it out for free, as an apology for such a horrible launch, I might've been interested. But surely there is no way for Blizz - under the umbrella of MS - to release content as major as this as FOC.
Their latest salad pile of updates for the "Loot redux" campaign was the corrective action that came 1 year late.
But damage is damage done.
Now they need to really go into more community aspects rather than gatekeeping what players can or cannot do with their new found gear.
Also..i was really hoping for a Paladin class to come back into the picture as surely..having to revisit parts of Kurast - plus the new pets on steroids (they collect all that lewt major major QOL!!) named after the NPCS in D2 is such a Shout - out! The zakarum Faith ..Paladin.. why ?!?! Such a wasted opportunity re-introduced one of the most influential classes in the IP. Might we not forget it is this very same order of Paladins that broke off from the initial zakarum Faith whose very sit of power in Kurast was corrupted?

MS might actually be a better overlord than EA/Activision, but yea, I know asking for free expo for everyone will never happen. Maybe just for those who preordered? Ha yea, who am I kidding.
I do imagine it'll get better, just like D3, but I might as well wait for that than spoil any more time playing while everything is changing so quickly. I really kinda like that the dust has settled with D2R and don't have to worry about crazy OP items/nerfs/buffs around every corner. It gets tiring constantly chasing after an everchanging meta, IMO.

That would require them to actually care about your or anyone's opinion though, rather than the instant-cash from the poor sobs who will fall for it once more.Zero187 wrote: 4 months ago If they had given it out for free, as an apology for such a horrible launch, I might've been interested.

But hey, at least there's apparently pets now so they can milk said sobs even more to make up for losing all the previously reliable customers. :p
