why can't i edit / update the post?

Anything else to add: auto complete finds the user, but upon selecting it and "adding" the field remains empty.

Works also When forwarding a message?

The issue is the user doesn't seem to 'stick' and just disappears.

Yes. On new message, reply or forward, I am able to add multiple recipients.

After clicking the name from the dropdown, you still need to actually click "Add" for the recipient to actually be added.

I just tested it on Chrome on a Windows PC and it worked fine for me.

I'm guessing some JS is not firing as it should for you. When you click Add, the page supposed to do a POST request to itself with some embedded parameters that instruct the landing page to populate the recipient list. This is what this POST request looks like for me in Chrome's inspection mode:

You could try to inspect and see what happens under the hood on your end. Or we wait for Teebling and see if he has a better idea for troubleshooting :)

i don't use any ad blockers and the only extension are the google ones.
