Has anyone seen this in Act 3?

i've never noticed this outcrop / pier / fishing point out in the jungle before.

...or I never ventured out far enough. I even toggled ol'skool LOD graphics & I still can't recall seeing this 20 years ago.

Sometimes I too, get stoned at 1 am and think that I've discovered a new area.

Yes! Some of the little "cliffs"/steps in

Coldcrow's Cave also have gold piles on them. I really liked these little touches that Vicarious Visions added to D2R, it added some nice detail compared to a pure 1:1 recreation which would've been a tad bland I think. I also noticed some of the building ruins in Act 2 (like in the

Lost City) have wooden beams that were added which I find interesting.

Oh, and can't forget the oh so important garlic that they featured at Blizzcon or in the IGN interview either or whatever it was, that was a cute little meme going around in the community before D2R was released haha. Ah, it was from the Blizzconline Deep Dive panel shortly before the game released:
