Hey guys, has anyone tried Phoenix shield and Phoenix
Phase Blade
(or other 1 handed weapon base) on a SS druid?

I was thinking of maxing both of
Firestorm
's synergies (not FS itself) and whacking away as a
Werebear
(or
Werewolf
) for the procs (80% on hit). Not sure if to combine with
Fire Claws
for more fire damage or just rely on
Firestorm
procs and use
Maul
or Fury. Haven't tested anything yet, don't have the gear at hand. Does anyone have experience with a build like this? Is it fun? Is the damage from a synergized
Firestorm
actually helpful or does it totally suck?

Thanks for your insights! :)

6x 5/5 facet inside a
Phase Blade
> Phoenix weapon for a
Werewolf
Fire Claws
.

For a
Werebear
Fire Claws
user, yea, double Phoenix works.

OP
Thanks for your input! Do you think the build would work well without
Fire Claws
for a
Werebear
? As in:

Max
Werebear

Max
Lycanthropy

Max
Maul

Max
Molten Boulder
(fs synergy)
Max
Fissure
(fs synergy)
Rest in
Heart of Wolverine

This would mean only the
Firestorm
procs benefit from the Phoenixes' -fire res, but frees up skill points for survivability (and much needed ias derived from
Maul
, in the case of
Werebear
). You think the damage from it is enough to justify dual Phoenix over something else?

As you want to focus on
Firestorm
procs, Fury will probably be way better than
Maul
(more hits/procs per second ;-) )

That's a valid point, I just have a soft spot for werebears, haha. But do you think the fire damage from
Firestorm
procs will be enough to justify the dual Phoenixes in either case (wolf or bear)? Have you tried anything similar?

In theory could be ~12+K per second...

Phoenix + Phoenix + Flickering Flame (-71 fire
Pierce
)
https://maxroll.gg/d2/d2planner/had8043o

L22 with all the synergies will be
Firestorm
– Level 22
Damage: 722.1–837.9 per second
Cast Rate: 25 frames (1 cast per second)
Damage per Second: 3931

Damage per Second * 80% * 3.91 hits per second = 12296.168

Interesting calculations. I hadn't thought of it, but I'll play with that planner and see how the build looks. Thanks!
