What do people think about CTA in a

Double Axe? It also has same req as

Crystal Sword and garanteed 5 socket at Lazarus, but i never see anyone accualy use it?
So what you guys think? and what is ur favorite base?`\

I use

Crystal Sword, but just not to mix that up visually with HotO which is in

Flail.

I keep

Double Axe for Beast.
And typically, you don't burn a

Larzuk quest to get a 5 os on this, they are usually bought cheaper.

Yea i was also thinking about having a different weapon on switch to hoto so you dont mess up. But like realy it comes down to preference i guess. I bet there is better resale value on Crystal and

Flail tho even tho it should not matter, atleast not for stats

I started to build my cta's in

Double Axe this season. I like the style, and besides that i can't mix it up with Spirit or hoto.

I started to build my cta's in

Double Axe this season. I like the style, and besides that i can't mix it up with Spirit or hoto.

I will make my next in a

Double Axe for sure, to mix up abit.

If you’re running an

Energy Shield sorc, consider a +3energy shield staff, you can even find ones with +cold armours or +

Enchant!

Still not as good as a Memory staff or cta +Spirit for either es or BO, but good for both if you use them

Military Pick is another option but I've never used it myself so far. I have however a CTA in a

Double Axe.

War Scepter is another option. Higher str req (55), but can be used by Paladins as a pre-buff when the base has +3

Holy Shield.

Which should not happen, as

Holy Shield is not allowed to spawn here any more, except if it rolls several times in a row.

Holy Shield can not spawn as a staff mod since 17years ago, they were valuble in LoD because they were unique and pre patch items

War Scepter bases are ones with +3FoH/+3Conviction and +3hammers/+3concentration. If you can find one with a 3rd staff mod that is a synergy to any of those skills, be prepared to rake in the money.

I'm using CS but I'm quite sick of that opaque blue needle (even tho I love blue color in general)... Think I'm gonna start switching for something else, as you already said, just to mix things up a bit.

I also think I'm gonna stop using

Flail for any Sorc related stuff since it just looks weird on her.

Caduceus CtAs are the best for paladins since you can get

Redemption/

Vigor/

Meditation on them. Unless you are a hammerdin you will certainly put those to good use. You will just have to roll them yourself as nobody trades CtAs in those, let alone with those.

You are getting an extra skill or two at a cost of 40FCR and 40@. Selling that +3/+3 base is the way to go. Using it means concessions on other gear to get high FCR breakpoints. For FoHdin maybe since he has delay anyway.
What do you mean by synergy? Synergy is

Concentration to hammers already. If it had, let's say,

Vigor on it as well, it wouldn't do anything extra on top.

Military Pick gang.

One, they look awesome.

But two, I'm poor, and so I have to pass my CTA between characters. I always want my CTA to be visually distinct from what my character is using. So,

Crystal Sword conflicts with Grief

Phase Blade,

Flail conflicts with Heart of the Oak,

Double Axe conflicts with my Barb's

Ettin Axe, etc.

And if I'm going to do something weird, might as well go for cool too. Style Souls is part of the true endgame, you know.

Double Axe for my trapasin today and it looks cool they way assasin runs with the

Axe behind her. Next time i will make a
