Description

Hey everyone, finally got enough runes for either Grief or fort, any recommendations on which I should make first?

And if we go with Grief, I’ve got either a Berserker Axe or Phase Blade?

Right now I’ve got a Lvl 90 orb/ Hydra sorc, an 89 necro, an 85 smiter, a 85 javazon, and I’ll probably start leveling up my barb (level 18 I think).

Thanks for your advice!

Grief first, both bases are good. Phase = no repair costs which may be a consideration, aside from speed.

If you are a Barb, first 2 Lo Grief Swords, unless you are bezerker. If not, second Lo use it for Fortitude.

Grief is way too strong, and with regards to the base, Matt is right.

Had a Dream about getting a Lo, and all I found today was a Wisp Projector

Grief pb for your smiter. Life will be much easier for him.

i'd go for a Grief Phase Blade unless you intend to pair it with another Axe on your barb. i find the durability on berserker axes to be kind of a pain, and the base damage of your weapon isn't too important for Grief anyway.

Looking at your character list, the only one that'd currently use a Grief is your smiter. For them, Grief is phenomenal, no questions asked. Should definitely be in a Phase Blade though for that.

Your barb MAY want a Grief later on and is more flexible on base if/when he does but whether or not he even wants one is dependent on the build you're going for.

Fort on the other hand will be fantastic on the merc of all of your chars as well as on your smiter himself.

So..really, the "which first" answer depends on how much you actually play each of your chars and where your priorities lie with them. If you only leisurely lvl your barb, only use your smiter to jump into dclone walks but spend all day farming on your sorc, then I'd definitely go for Fortitude first. Similarly, if you spend all day on your smiter then Grief.

Thanks all! Excellent advice from everyone!

I think imma go with a Grief Phase Blade first, that way I can put it on my smiter when I go farm for torches, and otherwise it’ll go on my sorc’s act 5 merc to pair with Lawbringer. Then when my barb is leveled up he’ll still be able to use it. My mercs either go with an upped Guardian Angel or Treachery, so they’re not hurting too bad for armour.

I’m all offline self solo found, so it may be a while before I get another Lo, or Lo equivalent, but oh well more runes will eventually drop!

Thanks for everyone’s advice! After I make and use it for a bit I’ll come back and let you know how it turned out!
