How many of you found high runes on solo?

I know you alot of people have alot of time to play with friends here, i don't. was wondering if its a wild goose chase to do solo runs try to get HR, or a silly chase.

i consider high runes:

Gul
Vex
Ohm
Lo
Sur
Ber
Jah
Cham
Zod

myself i found a Mal which is almost HR...or maybe it isn't.

I have found Gul Vex, and a charm i sold for Ohm+ Vex all solo, and i don't do nearly as much farming as many on this site (maybe an hour a day). it is harder, but possible

I only play solo and duo (with a friend), never in full games.

Solo I found: 4 Ist 3 Vex 2 Ohm 2 Lo 1 Sur 1 Cham
Duo we found 5 Ist 2 Gul 2 Lo 1 Sur

I always play solo and found myself:

2x Vex, 3x Ohm, 1x Sur, 1x Ber, 3x Jah, 2x Cham

Solo online is what I play 95% of the time (5% for just variety).

I've personally found (from the HRs you've mentioned) in solo games:

Zod, Jah (2), Cham, Sur, Lo, Vex (2), Gul (2)

Most of these found in Cows - although boring, its great density and really hard to be beat imo (can also do Trav runs but I've never had luck there). Keep at it - its just RnG for runes. Good luck!

Always solo. From natural drops:

4x Gul, 3 (? at least 2)x Lo, 2x Ber, 2x Jah, 1x Zod

Did find a Lo doing a hell rush, so only P2 so kinda close.

I found all my HR playing solo (2 Vex, 2 Jah, Ber, Cham).

Found Cham, Jah, 2 Ber, 2 Sur, Lo, 2 Vex, 3 Gul, 2 Ist and several Mal! One Vex was from Arcane Sanctuary and one Ist from a ghoul next to Andariel. Everything else was in Travincal! Oh and I found 2 soj in Travincal as well.

I have been in Travincal for a long time now haha. Almost done but need 2 more bers still.

The only "group" rune I have gotten was a Lo in cows and somebody snatched it.

There's a one in 13 000 chance to find an Ohm Rune on Andariel in Hell difficulty. I got one on maybe my 200th try. Using a sorceress with 110 FCR each run takes about a minute, so I got lucky and found one in about 4 hours.

That's my only solo HR based on your criteria. I've also found an Ist from countess and maybe five mals from countess.

I did some math and figured that the fastest way to build Diablo Wealth was countessrunning. One Ist every 300 runs means that if you do 13000 runs you can cube your Ohm with 8 Ists and keep the other 35... 13 000 countess runs would also get you almost 1000 Keys of Terror and 50-100 Mals, lots and lots of Um, Pul and Lem.

You guys who do Cows might disagree with me. I had to wipe my hard drive and I can't find my calculation right now, but I did a comparison to cows as well.

I found that experience valid as well, I've done about 20 trav runs and nothing. but i need hundreds too. so maybe do give it a chance.

but do you go straight to countess or clear the tower ?

I have found all my high runes on Battle.net solo, players 1 difficulty. 2 Vex, 1 Sur and 1 Ohm.

I must add that since I've only ever found an Ohm, let alone a bunch of Ber, I don't really have enough stuff to clear out The Secret Cow Level very quickly. For richer players, the balance might be in favour of something other than countess running.

As for countess running, I absolutely do not clear out the entire tower. You don't have time. You have to average below two minutes, preferably closer to one minute. You need a sorc with 110% fcr. Lightning or fire works but The Countess is surrounded by cold immune minions. If you go fire, you need a good merc to kill countess. At about lvl 75 with gear total value of maybe Um or Mal I could do it in HC.

Ps. In at least one of the guides it says that you need 200% fcr to Teleport quicker and save time. I think that's bollocks. You need 110% to Tele quick enough that the monsters don't have time to hit you on the way down. More is always better but as budget gear is a premise we can't afford ourselves 200 fcr. I prefer an act 2 Merc with Holy Freeze. Then again, I play HC.
