Any love for Crossbows?

I know the general consensus is that xbows are inferior to bows, but there's something immensely satisfying with running around slaying hordes of mobs indiscriminately using a

Hellrack and

Multiple Shot. Whatever immunities that any mobs have doesn't matter, because of the tri-elemental damage of the weapon, plus I stacked a bunch of anthrax SCs and sharp charms. Also, some Druid shapeshifter builds use xbows, hence why Buriza is also a thing with them apparently. Xbows are also incredibly cheap and affordable compared to their bow counterparts.
Anyone else appreciate these?

I used to level my Bow-Amazon with a

Buriza-Do Kyanon for a long time - came to find a

Windforce, I just had to drop it then :/. I'd love to see more powerful Crossbows tho.

My main weapon is a

Shael'd

Windforce. I keep the

Hellrack as a weapon swap, comes in handy against wraiths or phys immunes. Sometimes when I'm low on

Arrows, I just use it regularly until more

Arrows show up. When I know I'm not against any cold immunes, I sometimes swap the rack for a Buriza to guarantee freeze. I love collecting bows and xbows, so I find an excuse to use my collection from time to time ;D

I'm stuck with my Bow-Amazon right now. Guess I need more damage Charms. I also keep some bows and x-bows some can be handy sometimes.

What armor do you use? Phys dmg bowazon is tricky, becuz she can't really improve damage with increasing level + skill points, not by themselves. It basically all comes down to gear and equipment.

A pretty good way to buff bows I think would be to enable ethereal bows. Give bows durability that decreases per 1,000

Arrows fired.

Would also increase

Zod value, which should make sense given its rarity.

Damn, haven't got one of those bad bois since LoD. Back when my crapmancer ran that and

Rattlecage. Lol, but classic D2 Burzia is king.

Peace is good until NM, I recommend if you don't get Fortitude, Lionheart or Duress is a good stand-in. CoH is decent too. I'm using Duress, I rolled 17% ED so I'm pretty satisfied until I get a

Lo rune.

Why x2 Ravens instead of only 1? You can probably get more LL/ML and effect dmg such as poison, element, and resists if not x2 Ravens. Not criticizing or anything, I use a

Raven also for the CBF effect.

Buriza is really nice, especially at lower levels or if you have mana problems using

Freezing Arrow, since the high phys damage boosts your mana leech, and you can completely skip putting points in

Pierce, and can wear any

Belt you want since no need for

Razortail.

Will have a look on those armors .
I wear them for the AR and ye CBF, didn't find a good one to replace it yet.

Yeah, that weapon is shite. It would be Alot better if that poison effect is when striking instead of when struck, which is useless on a necro. Amongst other problems...

For bowa, I highly recommend usin

Carrion Wind ring with ravenfrost - these twisters are of noticeable help on a battlefield, also decent poison resist and ll helps alot. This combo of rings also proves awesome on shifter as well.

I expect the same obstacle as have all single element builds: immunes (to be fair, this is also true for standard

Fireball sorc). It can be mitigated partially by using items with

Conviction or

Lower Resist, but won't work as well as for lightning immunes.
For even more fun (and to deal with fire immunes), a ranged/mêlée hybrid (with dual Dream) can be built - strike enemies from afar with exploding

Arrows, then finish the leftovers with

Holy Shock-empowered mêlée attacks. Probably hell viable, but I don't expect performance anywhere near of more orthodox builds.

Crossbow? The maximum ~400ed should be very powerful.
I have one upgrade Buriza, it's quite powerful too. However, the str requirement is 163...
