Description

Semi-new player here... Was thinking of using a
Larzuk
quest on my
Shako
to socket a ptopaz, for my budget MF blizz sorc. Yea/nay? (I know
Ist
gives more, but I can't afford to use
Ist
for that...)

Also, what about on my
Magefist
?

In short: Yes.

Topaz is only 1% less than Ist so go for it and don't worry about that 1% until you're e-wealthy enough to just blow an extra Ist on it. You can always remove the Topaz again via the cube recipe (Hel + TP scroll + socketed item). You'd lose the Topaz doing that but that's not exactly a big loss. :)

As for magefist, you can't socket that one. Only helmets, weapons, armor and shields.
