Do you Teleport to the ubers (Lilyth) or kill everything in site? Want to see if I can also do it on a budget, just as a challengeVolitionSin wrote: 2 years agoI've ran about 15 uber runs on my level 81 pally (not a lot, but I'm also a casual player). Level plays into it less than gear/resists do. My Smite pally's resistances are:
Fire: 75 (+178%)
Cold: 75 (+206%)
Lightning: 90 (+269%)
Poison: 75 (+200%)
This is with Holy Shield as my only buff (not proc'ing Fade from Treachery, etc).
High overage on Lightning saves me with Meph's Conviction aura. Once he's dead, it's gravy.
Also, this is without top end gear. Heaven's Light (dual Shael), Guillaume's Face, Smoke RW, Spirit RW in 41res base shield, tgods Belt, Dracul's Grasp, Gore Rider, Raven Frost, and Dwarf Star. I have a ptorch and one pcomb.

Description by BillyMaysedCan be used to make Runewords:
Usually I run them with a friend who does the teleporting for me on his sorc (we both run sorcs for Key running, and both have smiters for Uber Tristram, I usually handle the first three solo).
But, I can and do occasionally run it solo. Naj's Puzzler for when I absolutely need to Teleport, or Vigor aura just to move around quickly. Duriel 95% of the time is right next to the portal.
Getting ready to run ubers once I farm enough keys.
If it makes you feel any better, for some reason my dumb ass thought that Beast rolled indestructible, so I made it on an ethereal base for my Necromancer. Now he will wear a "glass" Beast. The good news is that since it's for my Necro, he will never need to hit anything with it (its used mostly for its Fanatisism aura), but it has ZERO trading value, i cant use Werebear for fun, and its a Ber in price. I custom named it and now I will proudly wear it, still serving its ultimate purpose. Same as your Grief (it will never break if I never hit anything directly with it, which the necro doesnt do, but still hurts a bit).
My last long-term goal is Infinity, which I hope will take a while to complete, to slow-burn the game (since I already feel pretty "done" about it, so getting it too soon would mean possibly never playing again)
