Yup, I tend to leave my comp on while at work and usually come back to him walking around in Asia servers. Question to all, if he spawns twice while I'm afk in town, I can only kill him once right? Is there a way around that? If I was in one zone and he spawns and then I move to another zone would he spawn again in this case? Or there can only be one unique instance of him in a game at a time?

Answer B: you can have him only once per game.

Glad I finally got in on one. I've been sitting idly by all week watching these Asia SC NL walks pass me by because I didn't want a space heater in my office during the daytime. The only reason I got in on this one was because I just replaced a defective front intake fan on my new PC build this evening and just wanted to run the new fan.

if you afk in classic graphics mode(press g) it shouldn't run too hot

Can't believe I didn't think of that. That was good for about a 20 °C reduction on the GPU. Thanks for the tip!

If you run in windowed mode with normal graphics, you can minimize the game and your GPU usage for it will be zero.

Windowed mode is easily converted to full screen via Alt-Enter.

I run two accounts this way on a 10-year-old machine with a Radeon RX 580 crap card. The games run 24/7 without any issue at all.

I didn't start out launching D2R in windowed mode, but converted to it while trying to find a way to do trades from work over RDP. Can even kill DClone over RDP using this approach (although I wouldn't try to actually play the game in any meaningful way).

Otherwise, I play the game full screen (4k).

You can automatically launch in windowed mode by adding "-w" to your command line spec in the battle.net launcher game settings. In game, I set the window dimensions to 1920x1080 (1/4 4k).
