So I’ve pretty much explored all the meta builds and have BiS gear all around (except the +6 2os magic items for sorc + necro).
Does anyone have any off-meta builds that actually work? I’d probably try to play it all the way through from normal.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
Sorc: Orb, Blizzard sorc, Fireball/ Hydra, Nova (all electric forms), Enchant sorc, bear, Dream, max thunderstorm, immortal
barb: everything, even that crazy summoner barb from a while back… execpt Concentration or pure bezerk
Assassin: traps & Mosaic
Palladin: hammerdin, Fohdin, smiter, tesladin, dragondin, charger, zealot, Vengeance
Necro: summoner, Bone, psn Nova, bowamancer, renegade Arbalist
Druid: Fury, cold, fire
Amazon: javazon, Infinity spearazon, bowazon, frostmaiden, fendazon, impaleazon
I don’t think i’ll try builds that obviously wont work ( Inferno barb, sorry), but i am looking to explore more creative options, or even more subtle versions of meta builds, anything fun
If a build seems interesting enough I’ll take a few days to get the end-game gear together, then another few to play the character through the game (still SSF), and I’ll let you know the outcome!

My Bruib is Grief+Beast. not as powerful as before, when it could do 5f attacks, and do not slow under Decrepify. now it seems to be 6f at best.
As for other crazy build, jump attack barb? which could hit 1 in 10 times maybe?
the rest may be just minor adjustments, like Frozen Orb + blizzard, Whirlwind + gold find

Yea, done them, for the Leap Attack barb i did ebotd Thunder Maul Leap Attack/ww. It’s ok.
Did orb/blizzard - even with an Obsession, meh
Have a gold find barb, found it better with Berserk than ww

What about Ranger Paladin or Silent Assassin, both with bows? Maybe physical/guided bowsin with BoS? Windforce Fanaticism/Might Paladin ranger? 
As for off-meta multiclass/hybrids I had a lot of fun with cold bowadin along side fire bear are definitely my top choices/suggestions; and I'm currently on path of building the same (bow version) but with Sorc, even tho you don't have synergies for Holy Freeze I always wondered how good would it play with Sosa's Cold Mastery... When I heard people going absolutely crazy about stacking those cold dmg small charms it blew my mind!
What about Rabies Druid? Poison Zon?
Something just popped on my mind... Could wolfy might Pala SS work? With like Beast I guess.

I heard that Bladesin was fun, but don't know the build myself.
My own sin is a Full Nat + Chaos to WW, but that's basically a home version of Trapsin (but can be colored Fire or Light, as you prefer), it's quite fun with a Manic Pixie Dreamgirl with Ice as side kick.

I found a Venom sniper to be surprisingly entertaining. Grab a Widowmaker, slap it onto a stacked Venom sin and have at it.
Though as with any single-target build, it may be fun but certainly won't perform at any top level. Even more so as you're stuck with 9 frame attack speed. Still works though.

I heard a lot of good things about poison javazon tho but ye, I get ya! Silent Assassin would be sin killing from afar, max IAS (go for the lowest possible frames), so I guess Burst of Speed + some sort of ranged weapon, as I said maybe something like Widowmaker? Also didn't want to end up having every single ranged build revolving around/needing Demon Machine

So the discussion around Thorns peaked my interest. I tried a summon necro holding a Last Wish, with an act 1 fire merc wearing Edge and Bramble… blah, kinda sux (on p8, it’s probably fine on p1-3). Tried with max Iron Maiden and Amplify Damage, still just turned into a Corpse Explosion build

Enchant sorc - which one have you played, melee ( Zeal (Passion) or Werebear (Beast), both using Dream) or ranged (i.e. Exploding Arrow-based)?
There is yet another ranged variant, using Warshrike. Wielding a 1H weapon allows you to equip a shield (Dream), and Warshrike has piercing attack, so you retain some of the AoE.
