What are the slots that, for some build, the BIS item is magic/rare/crafted?

Description

Hi

From what i saw people using and saw on guides, very few slots on each build are magic/rare/crafted considering BIS itens:

- Rare/Crafted items that I already saw as BIS
Head ("god" 2 skill
Circlet
- in special for builds that need FCR)
Amulet (builds that need FCR)
Ring (most attack builds and builds that need FCR)
Gloves (Assassin and Amazon - 2 skill 20 ias)
Boots
(tri-res)

- Rare/Crafted items that I never saw as BIS
Body
Shield
Belt

Weapon

- Magic items that I already saw as BIS
Ring (40 mf)
Amulet (50 mf | 3 skill)
Head (3 skill | Jeweler's)
Body (Jeweler's)
Shield (Jeweler's - only
Monarch
)
Gloves (Assassin and Amazon - 3 skill 20 ias)

- Magic items that I never saw as BIS
Belt

Boots

Weapon

I'm asking about this to filter what worth to look while farming on "end game"...

What I'm looking while farming today:

Rare/magic head (just
Circlet
)
Rare/magic ring
Rare/magic amulet
Magic Body (only elite light)
Magic Shield (only
Monarch
)
Magic/rare gloves
Rare
Boots

Rare belts

And I start to think that do not worth to look for rare belts as I always saw unique/set belts as BIS on builds 🤔

Can be used to make Runewords:

I don't have much to add, that seems pretty accurate. I think there are some White wands and necro shields though.

White wands fall in the "Base"/"Runeword" category 😉
(There are a lot of Bases that I look,
Wand
is one of them 👍)

About necro shields, do you mean that some builds look for a magic/rare with +6/+5 to some skills?

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure. I think they have to be rolled, but I'm not sure what the drop that they're looking for is.

Yup. +6 is a massive chunk for some necro builds and can totally end up BiS, esp with 2 sockets. Not that you're likely to find it but if you do...def keep! Or sell I guess..but not for cheap :D

I like to identify rare belts as they can have 24% faster hit recovery and some resistances as well and IMO some yellow belts are way better than some uniques for melee builds, for example.

Every BiS that i found i sell and then buy the same item, but slightly worse.

For example, i found once a Mara's with 29 res. Sold it and bought like 3 or 4 maras with 23, 22 res, best thing ever lol

The stuff that most don't bother picking up. :) #truestory

Offer if price not stated

If you like health,
String of Ears
is much better option. 8% Life Stolen Per Hit loved it on my hamerdian. Spiral hammer on large group of enemies you fully healed.

I look at every magic Amazon
Javelin
for this 🤞

For trapsins, magic +6/40
Claws
with 2 sockets might be considered BiS.

I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.

24%fhr, 20+str, life, and res

All trades can be accomplished via PC or xbox. All reasonable offers will be considered and probably accepted.

I guess I’ll add rare belts to my collection of things to ID lol. Always fun to learn and try out new things.

They are mainly used in PVP so you won't really find them in PVM build sheets.

Ah I see. That’s probably why I never look into it. Haven’t pvp since 1.10.

Actually, d2r is the first time where I’m playing through the game and trying different classes. Definitely a different play style than 20 years ago.
