What builds do you enjoy most?

Most of my builds still need items but I am thinking about starting a last one before ladder ends - so far ich have: Fury druid, summoner druid, trap assa, Mosaic assa, zealot, poison necro,

Frenzy barb and a java.

Bowzon and Bone necro tend to take the cake for me, along with various sorc options.

how do you play bowzon nowadays? I assume

Guided Arrow and buriza is not the way to go anymore

Nothing wrong with that set-up! Faith, Mist and Wind force are great physical set-ups, with Ice and Hand of Justice, or just plain old 5 5/5 facets for elemental bowazon

My favorite builds are self-wielding Infinity

Energy Shield

Nova sorc, Infinity spearazon, max damage bow necro &

Fireball sorc, then behind is the throw barb. They are my fun builds to play. Others like gold find barb, hammerdin ect are still fun, but more useful for farming

Oh, guided buri was fuuun...but sadly no, that's not a thing anymore.

Nowadays, you tend to go either with

Windforce or Faith (matter of taste really..dmg per hit/overall dps vs. speed) and primarily use a mix of multi and

Strafe, depending on the situation. GA still situationally plays into it of course but nothing like the buri days of chain-piercing to no end.

(Mind you, when I say bowzon I specifically mean physical, not the elemental varieties)

I have a pretty maxed out

Tornado Druid and combined with

Hurricane and Enigma for

Teleport I find it a really relaxing way to clear the likes of

Chaos Sanctuary. You don't really have to care about targeting anything. The only slightly frustrating component is the steep FCR breakpoints inherent in the Druid class.

Ice bowazon because it shows you just how much cold sorceress sucks.

Also enchantress with

Demon Machine, kinda the same thing compared to

Fireball/

Meteor sorc.

And last but not least, Furydruid. Always in my heart.

Hurricane doing the job? I have always the impression that

Hurricane and

Armageddon are there but more for the visual effect - maybe wrong impression or it changes with the right gear.

I do spam

Tornado otherwise the kill speed is too slow w/only

Hurricane, but I don't fuss about where I'm shooting them. I have yet to try

Armageddon so unsure.

What base?

Nova Sorc and Poison necro.

An aura-based pally is interesting but ultimately it feels a bit boring. Mosaic feels a bit clunky.

I tried javazon (titan), physical bowzon, Ice bowzon, trap sin, palahammer,

Nova sorc, blizzard sorc, zerker barb.

So far my best are : Ice bowzon just in front of

Nova sorc

The most fun I have is starting from scratch. Mock neoladder style, no support from higher level chars, no hand outs, no twinking, not even gold. At least beat hell mode before throwing on gear. All my best experiences are during the struggle, when even a rare item gets you a buzz and major upgrades can boost your power by a quarter rather than a decimal point.

As far as character type, I enjoy trying to progress as fast as possible vs sticking to a particular character build but both ways are fun.

A lot of folks are mentioning bowazon and I’d agree with that. I’m sure there is a technique, but early game is pretty rough, though

Exploding Arrow can get you through nightmare pretty easy, just get ready to chug mana potions. I have never done a pure bowazon norm-hell run tho, but I think with some grind and know how you could progress pretty fast. The upgrade to Insight would be soooo sweet. Hell ancients would be rough,

Life Tap

Wand and Hustle maybe? Actually makes me want to try a start from scratch bowazon. I twinked my last bowazon early, she was a lot of fun but it’s just never as satisfying.

Go with whatever you have fun playing, I've played mostly Zons. I have a

Strafe-Multi using both Faith and

Windforce on swap which is my best overall

Travincal killer. I've also made Bowazons using Mist and

Witchwild String bows.

Another build I enjoy playing is a lightning Javazon.

Enchant sorc with

Demon Machine! It's so sweet to see the 16k

Exploding Arrow piercing through large crowds causing multiple explosions through the screen.

Fireball can't compete with that area damage )

So much fun

I think i prefer the Mist weilding and Beast IG version, but it technically does less damage than the Faith wielding Pride IG

My favorites so far, in order within each class:

Pally: dual Dream, 2h

Zeal, hybrid FoH (multiple variants)
Barb:

Whirlwind, singer
Zon: Multishot, self-wield Infinity,

Freezing Arrow
Sorc: Lightning,

Fireball,

Enchant

I've tried also tried several builds for each of the other classes--nothing clicks for me. For the builds I listed, happy to write you a small thesis on any of them...let me know!
