Is it worth giving up on like the OP opines? I have a bowazon and I'm wondering how much to invest in her. She's fun but damage seems low.

Windforce. The

Windforce clearly shows higher DPS, but in practice the Faith does more damage.

Penetrate was at 13lvl, each level gives me +200AR + when i get charms I think I should above 15k for

Raven Frost with 19 to Dex, and 238 to AR. Second ring is resistance, Amulet is

Highlord's Wrath, my

Boots are rare and good only for resistance. When I build my Mist I'll post it here. I've only been in ladder for 22 days, and I've reached lvl 90.

Dexterity and attack rating makes a lot of difference. I tried an act1 Faith merc and

Windforce in NL, and it wasn't as good as an act2 mite merc and keeping the Faith on my build. So on NL I have a perfect Faith for main weapon and a

Windforce for second weapon. I take down the town council in Hell lvl in seconds. Run

Baal and the

Chaos Sanctuary with relative ease. Experiment and see what works for you.

I will tell you the hard truth fellow bowa. Mist sucks. its Faith or

Windforce for best dps. I use Faith thats not even perfect act 2 might merc with Pride weapon. Im at 7k multishot . (I dont like

Strafe) I just use GA for bosses since it always hits. missing some 3/20s and GCs to really hit those big numbers but yeah i love the bowa. she wrecks players 1-4 and does ok on higher but Im online nonladder with her so She rearely sees that player count. i usually use her for finding bases/runes in cows and for CS

Penetrate skill is at 16

Strafe at 11

so my if my AR went from below 5k to 10k just because I put 10hard points into it. With maxed skills I should be around 17k if my math is right.

thanks man, much apreciated. I just did Chaos at p1 its way better. I am missing big part of end-gear.

Regarding Mist, I like that RW. But I am not 100% conviced that with maximum dmg build you would use Mist. To me it seems like good RW - cheap compare to Faith, but less dmg than Faith.

For Mist you can use andy + 15% IAS to reach 95% IAS - that seems like only advantage to me over Faith.

Dunno about

Windforce's dmg. Dmg can be higher than Mist, it has mana leech and if u put 15% ias jewel in it, you can use any unique

Helm with 15IAS jewel.

And with Faith you have to use 3os

Helm which is pretty expensive to get with +2skills and with Faith u can go merc act 2 give him Pride so you will have 3auras. Where all auras will be on higher level than if u wear Mist -> this is imho the most dmg and the most expensive build u can do.

Your damage and chance to hit appears to have really gone up. In NL I use an

Andariel with a 15 IAS 36ED Jewel for

Helm. I add more attack speed just for

Magic Arrow because it fires at standard rate.

I'm still going to build a Mist because it's the only curiosity that lead me to go into ladder. If you get a chance grab a

Windforce and play with it. With

Strafe a 6% Mana leech is all you need and 6%

Windforce can be gotten for an

Ist.

No I didn't max

Magic Arrow. I put 10 points into it and with stuff it comes to lvl 24.

Edit: Once you hit everything at 95% then you don't need to add anymore to AR, but adding to Dex will still increase your damage.

I often make a game in Lobby to trade, and then farm around waypoints until someone pops on. That's how I got most of my stuff. I am going to put my

Jah up for trade tomorrow. That should get me the rest of the items I will need for my build. I'm hoping the Mist

Concentration will increase my mite merc's damage considerably. I usually use a Fortitude on my mercs but this time I went with Treachery for speed, but it doesn't do quite enough damage.

That's interesting because I'm not that fond of Multishot. I have it maxed as a synergy but it's slow and a mana hog.

Strafe has far better survivability, because it leeches very fast, and in the majority of cases faster than you take damage. Here is a run Hell level

Travincal, and as you can see with

Strafe I can tank the council and put them down in seconds.

I kinda agree. On non ladder I have bowa with maavina full set at lvl close to 90. I have died manytimes because of

Strafe. But once u get to certain point (Faith or Mist + Fortitude) you just dont need to run shoot run shoot, u can just stand and shoot.

I think i will just get andy with 15ias jewel (20+15)
highlord (20)
gloves (20)
Mist (20)
to reach 95ias.

With Mist I dont even need to use nosferatu. Maybe some time later on nonladder I will go for triple aura with Faith.
Mist allow you to open

Belt to do more combinations - if u get 9/9 dual leech ring you can get to 24life and 14mana leech while having 95IAS.
Does Mist do more dmg than

Windforce? Probably not.

Is Mist better than

Windforce? 40all res is huge and other useful stuff.

Here is an interesting thought. In the video I only have 6% mana leech, and the reason is that with

Strafe I don't need anymore. If you're looking for a

Windforce then there is no point in paying more for an 8% when a 6% will do, because otherwise all

Windforce bows are the same.

I agree with the general sentiment because I remember when I first started D2R in May, I looked at Mist and started planning around it until I took a closer look at Faith. I kind of forgot about Faith at first because I never made one in LoD.

Mist is underwhelming for a number of reasons compared to Faith and

Windforce, but the most underrated aspect (and some

Windforce users recognize this as well) is a quality of life trait, especially because a bowazon cannot use Enigma if you care about damage output.

Fanaticism from Faith has a much smaller AoE than Might and

Concentration from an Act 2 merc and Pride respectively. That means if you're going to juggle auras between you and your merc, you cannot rely on 100% uptime on

Fanaticism from your rogue merc when she's alive. She will frequently end up out of range and you won't be able to reset her with

Teleport. On the other hand, I have never had to worry about losing the Might and

Concentration auras from Emilio even when his cowardly ass decides to go pick flowers.

Level 15

Fanaticism (Faith): 16.6 yards
Level 23 Might: 40 yards
Level 20

Concentration (Pride): 36 yards

I've theorycrafted building around Mist in D2Planner and reconfigured other gear to reach a 7-frame attack with 95% IAS and a rogue merc with Faith. It only does about 80% of the damage of Faith + Might merc + Pride.

Also, to tie this all back to the original purpose of this thread, due to a lack of damage-enhancing belt options and

Nosferatu's Coil not being necessary for the 7-frame breakpoint for +10 speed bows with 95% IAS in other item slots and level 13+

Razortail is still one of the better belt options despite wasting the 33% piercing attack bonus if used with Mist.
