Description

I was trading
Crown of Ages
for
Vex
but the guy said he only had 3
Ist

He said
Vex
is 60 forum gold and
Ist
is 20 forum gold so x3 is
Vex

Ive never heard about "forum gold" but in my world (3
Ist
= 1gul +
Ist
).....2
Gul
=
Vex

I told him that so it was a no deal. Can someone enlighten me what this "Forum gold" is?

There's this other (popular) trading forum where people use a currency called forum gold to trade (it only exists on the website, not in-game).

As for the value of
Vex
, it typically trades for about 3
Ist
so the guy was kinda right.
Still, you can set your own value so if you'd rather have a
Vex
than 3
Ist
it's ok to refuse.

All trades are softcore, PC, non-ladder. All prices are negotiable.

Ohhhh ok, guess ill go take a look and edumacate myself on this gold.

At the time it felt like a scam cause he changed the price at the last second....Id still prefer the
Vex
though.

Thanks

I looked at the site .....no no no and double NO thanks. Forum gold sounds like real life government crap. admins and mods make this fake "money" to buy stuff with and we're suppose to just trust the admins arent printing infinite money to buy whatever they want as their little slave users find items to sell and fight over useless "forum gold" .....I already have that in reality, dont need it in D2

You probably also want to have a look at this :

forums/how-much-is-x-rune-worth-t290116.html

Gives a good idea of fair pricing, as rarest runes are not the most valuable.

You don't need to "just trust the admins arent printing infinite money". They have been doing that for years, FG is indeed infinitely generated, by a few
Key
strokes probably.

Runes as a trading currency has always made the most sense to me as their rarity of drop rates for the higher runes is part of the game and not anything that can be altered. Value is free to vary based on what kinds of runes are available and frequency of trading but generally doesn't ever pull a cryptocurrency and go wildly north and south.

heard some bad stuff about that forum gold, but had to check it myself few weeks ago.
started 3 day trading test to see what is going on there.
conclusion; its a base for those sites sellin stuff for real money. scam site.
