Description

Conceptually, light + fire is attractive due to both damage types fully utilizing Infinity (can’t be said for cold), and the how points in
Warmth
serve multiple purposes if ES is needed.

When D2R came out firewall was bugged with super high damage, and
Nova
was same old (lovable, but frustrating)
Nova
. By now, the tables have turned — FW is fixed and
Nova
got a synergy that doubles its damage.

So is (maxed)
Nova
+ (rest) firewall better than pure
Nova
? Pure
Nova
would have better TS damage, and better ES due to TK hard points. Firewall hybrid would have same
Nova
damage, weak TS, and require more mana (less efficient ES).

Does the doubled
Nova
damage cause enough hit recovery
Stun
to allow ignoring of TK and 1 pt in ES? If so the FW hybrid seems ideal. Griffons, Phoenix, eschutas for crazy high end, but basic 4-piece tals (light and fire damage bonus for partial set orb) and
Shako
should work for budget.

Maxed
Static Field
also sounds amazing for helping offset squishiness of low TK. Any cold immune, PI, or MI on the screen is subject to two quick statics followed by a firewall at their feet….

Paladin Europe PC
Squishiness and/or mana management (depending on gear/skill choices) would be my main worry. With
Nova
's aggressive playstyle, you rely on ES to absorb tons of damage.
You would also have to choose between lightning and fire skillers.

Not saying it can't work because almost anything can be solved with better and more expensive gear. Please let us know if you experiment with this build ^^
