It is quite rare to find someone that prefer attributes over resistances.
So you can ask for 19/20 a bit more than 20/19.
Is there an option I can use to get notifications from posts in threads I'm involved in? I have all boxes checked and get nothing from the forums.

Take ptorch as an example, on current market a ptorch 20/19 is worth 14 Ber, 19/20 is only worth 4 Ber , 20/20 is 38 Ber
On another note, atari! The darn notification didn't work. While I did find those settings, and I did have it set to no, that I change to yes and applied the changes, I got nothing when Naitsirk posted. Just happened by for the purpose of checking this out actually. Not sure what else there is to do.

@Ymp my bad that setting is only for forum posts and price check is considered trade ( diablo2.io - Trade - Price Check). Guess you have to bookmark the price checks you're interested in.
Its the same for all classes, here you won’t see it though, on jsp everyone values stats over res same on traderie where PvP market exist because the res becomes useless in PvP where you will have x10 19/-20life/11res scs for any matchup and different setups where you wan’t to overstack res. This is why 19/20 is alot cheaper than 20/19.Ymp wrote: 2 years agoAlright, interesting thanks. That's 1 for team res > and 1 for team stats >. Do you think perhaps it's different between some classes? That's the scenario that would surprise me the most, but who knows.

Res are only valued early ladder resets.
It does however work now, a logout and in fixed it it seems. You did fix my issue in the end with what you suggested, it just didn't actuate immediately. Thanks
I too valued stats > res for personal use on all my unique charms on all my toons, but in agreement with mockingbird, I noticed that in trades the max res ones are value higher by others. Then Naitsirk turned that around, and now I guess it's stats 2 res 1. I still see 19 20s asking for more than 20 19s in some cases.
I wasn't considering this site, and I only look on jsp for info but I don't use it. I was basing it on traderie experience, but it may have been a niche case. Max stats always made sense to me because it's easier to plan gear and its str req knowing that you get 40 from charms.

Consequently my Sin and Necro have more stats than res, while my Zon using a Sunder favors higher res to negate the Sunder effect.
Before Sunders, Stats > Res was rather true. Today, less, even if PvP will clearly favor stats as they stack res only for specific opponents (e.g. against cold sorc you need more than 300 CRes I think).
Anyway, PvP high end users have 20/20s so they don't care
Main: Necromancer / Second: Assassin / Third: Amazon / Check my stash tabs
I agree, for high end PvP there is no question stats > res. They have 20 20s anyways, and are stacking 100s of one res as well, so the question is kind of irrelevant there.
It's more a question of what's worth more to those higher middle class, that are looking for a 1 off perf item they can afford to finish off their char (mostly for PvM).
Also I do think now that there is at least somewhat of a difference between classes, as a pala like mentioned doesn't have to offset a sunder as often as a zon or sorc. They also have higher res usually from gear and talents even if they do use a sunder.

That is normal because you don't want the same things for PvP and PvM
It really depend on personal reference and many other factors.
More stats means more damage (melee) and life => stats
Paladin and barb can easily Cap res => stats
My ES sorc don't need res, she need mana and life => stats
I want to use a full skiller inventory so it is hard to Cap res => res
I don't use Monarch so Enigma MP give enough str to for gears => res
Can be lowered res and/or Conviction aura => res
Many final gears don't give me res but stats => res
I can choose to put stats after respec while I can only get res from gears => res
Here is something interesting for everyone to contemplate, a fun fact from a recent trade. Remember we set out to determine what the worth of a 20 19 and 19 20 torch were compared to one another. There are many factors yes, but in the end, on average one IS worth slightly more than the other considering everything.
So here it is: In a recent trade, someone, on another site (won't bore you with the specifics:), chose a 19 20 ama torch for 14 Jah, over a 20 19 for 10 Jah. Both were available at the same time with set prices. This doesn't prove anything, in fact I still lean towards stat > res, but this was an interesting win for res.

* Put enough points to stats for gears.
* Fill the inventory with Skillers, torch, anni.
At this state, usually I need more res so I have to choose among res, damage and mf for my boot, rings and sc slots.
That is why I usually want res from torch and anni to be able to use SoJ/bk/ Raven/nagel, war trav and mf sc.
More life won't hurt but I die rarely with bis gears already (mainly from souls, dolls or my stupid decisions).
I think if I redid this thread, I would ask people how they would distribute 15 points on their base 10 10 torch. 20 15, 15 20, or 18 17... It'd be interesting to see the different plans. It seems there are many approaches.
Aah also, how do you do a poll? Is it possible here on the site? Just a simple binary A or B poll.

For the poll if you make a new forum discussion there is an option to make a poll on the bottom left side between attachments and advanced.
