I have (2) +1 Demon Skill charms but cant remember where they dropped or what dropped them. I need some Chaos skillers

if you do not demand a "vita" suffix, the earliest spot that can drop a skiller (alvl 50) is nightmare Arachnid Lair. wp right there.

I personally like NM cows for plain skillers; high monster density and quick clear speed. But any area starting at NM Great Marsh and onwards can drop them.
If you want a skiller with 41-45 to life any TZ with a char lvl 89+ can farm them from any monster or popable (minus armor/weapon racks).

Yes, but you want to use grand charms from a high level Terror zone to get access to the best possible affix (+45 life). I believe it's Terror zone level 91+. So if you only roll those charms, you have odds for the best possible outcome. You can re-roll the same one over and over until it gives you something good.Rhaegar86 wrote: 12 hours agoInteresting. This is my primary use for Perfect Gems... just not amethysts, which are reserved for caster amulets.

It is a skiller so it can reroll to be another skiller, yes. Since the existing suffix is not of vita (+41-45 to life) we do not know the ilvl. But bulk gems are expensive. If you are going to spend them on a skiller might as well spend them on a skiller with ilvl>=91. Grab a character with clvl >=89 and farm TZs until you get a GC. It will have an ilvl>=91 depending on which type of monster dropped it. That will guarantee the ability to roll as a skiller with 45 life ontop.

This is how I got all my skillers.
So, in fact, I only need one Grand Charm at a time. If I roll a good one, I just farm another with a highlevel hero.
Be careful with rolling, it's very addictive. I know what I'm talking about 
the best place to farm anything in D2 always comes down to the question: at what area level can it drop, thats the lower bound and the second question is - at what alvl more prefixes/suffixes become available (because your chance to draw the desired affix/suffix gets lower the more possibilities are in the pool). With Skiller GCs this isnt that important, there are only 3 prefixes above 50 (I think) and as already stated, you probably want the vita suffix available which is at 91 (or 77 for 36-40)

Skillers start dropping in NM as others mentioned.
Most people do not start re-rolling for stats until they are already loaded +5 or more to main combat tree.
One is better than none, with stats is better than without, with life is usually best, with +45 life is perfect!
Any GC from Baal, Diablo, or Nihlathak in Hell or any TZ with L89+ hero is for perf reroll addicts only

The best place to farm is to trade..
Get a decent lootfilter - eventually something useful to someone will drop. Then price it adequately compared to the market and sell it - then buy the charms you need with your profits.

(TZ) Arcane Sanctuary also is good place to farm GCs. I do not have any hard numbers, but on average you should get 1-2 GCs per full clear.
Oh I just noticed: the wraiths in Arcane Sanctuary have no Armor/Weapon drop table - that makes GCs much more likely. So blitzing it and only concentrating on wraiths would be a good strat (best with a Teleport char)
OTOH, Wraiths fly, so if you kill them over a non-walkable tile (which are very common in The Arcane Sanctuary), you'll lose the drops. You way want to try killing Wraiths (or Willowisps or Finger Mages) in other areas.
