I found a strange amulet today, with an unusually high damage reduction with the suffix 'of life everlasting'.
The amulet has +3 to paladin offensive auras and an enormous 'Damage reduced by 18'.
Since I was curious I looked it up and found something about the Immortal (or Invincible) Abbott, where a pala build focuses completely on damage reduction and tanking and with the right build reduces more damage than he receives and thus is ... immortal. Standing for hours in TZ zone with hordes of enemies attacking and not losing a single point of HP.
I first thought it was just Google gibberish or halucinations based on fan stories with too much imagination.
Anyone heard from it yet or has experience with it? I'm curious to find out more.

Interested too, cause I found an amulet with Damage reduced by 20 and 29 to Lightning Res.
Is that useful for anything? Immortal Abbott sounds like a funny idea...

Yes, the "Immortal" builds are utilized in HC especially for your lvl 99 grind.
There are "Immortal builds for almost all of the classes. Barb, Pally, Assassin bc they get extra def/res/dmg reduction naturally and (imo) the easiest to "Immortalize".
The caveat is you Sacrifice a lot of DPS to become "Immortal". Imo not really worth it for SC, but to each their own.
Haha, yeah I found this one, triggering my question. But I was guessing it would take more than this amulet to be immortal
So, just curious what other gear would be used. With the exception of Uber jewels and renewed sunders most MDR/PDR stuff I found so far was just giving minor reductions.

Sorry, had the wrong link. Fixed it!
No I hadn't found that one yet. My searches where apparently not that thorough before turning to this forum. Looks super extensive and insightful. Many thanks!
