ES nova sorc help… again

So, they’ve nerfed the warlock, mine went to 5000 damage. My expensive gear is worthless (Obsession/Phoenix)

I’m back to trying to get my ES sorc not to die in P1 Chaos.

I have everything that everyone recommended.

I’m using Infinity scythes near perfect roll
Griffons with -5/+5 jewel (+19/-25)
Perf vipermagi (35 res, 13 MDR) +5/-5 jewel

Magefist
Dual soj
A mesh
70pr

Eth

Sandstorm Trek
+3/10 ammy
Torch/anni/sunder
6 skillers with 25-27 life
CTA/viseratuant on swap

Warpspear for buff +6 ES (don’t want a dumb Memory staff)

A2

Prayer merc with Insight and Cure

i have a level 40 ES, 4400

Nova damage. A few points to strength, the rest to energy

I think the only thing im missing here is the uber jewel… other than tat, i think most everythis is BIS?

Anyway, i died two times in my last Chaos run P1. The second time it was the Venom lords, mana burn.

Teleport>instant Death

I’m confused at this point. I can’t do Chaos runs,

Baal runs without getting smashed by something… on p1, mind you

Is there any hope here? Its ridiculous to me to have such an expensive character that is considered S tier only to get absolutely ripped apart on P1… especially when you can’t even hit the Ground running or pickup many items… I have to swap weapons, cast, swap, then cast bo, adding over 20 seconds to what should be a 60 second Chaos run as well has have a slap full inventory and have to take an incredible amount of time to see what Diablo dropped

Your gear is good.

Problem with

Baal is the blood mana curse. Nothing much you can do about it - have some full rejuvenation potions on hand.

Chaos Sanctuary - Venom Lords if you tele into the seal pack it can be problematic to say the least. This is just something you need to bear in mind, best to have them move towards you and just spam

Nova. You should melt them before they get in range.

How much life and mana do you have with the CTA? How much poison res?

Your gear is good but a 3-10 amu is not bis. Best is 2-20 with e.g. mana, strength, poison res, poison length reduction etc.

One tip: Cast

Cyclone Armor from your Infinity (I hope it is non-

Eth as it should be) with your ES. Your ES will protect the

Cyclone Armor but it will still soak damage.

You call out having level 40 ES, do you also have

Telekinesis maxed out?

Cyclone Armor really does help. Cast it before you cast ES.

Buff order should be: BC, BO,

Cyclone Armor,

Frozen Armor, and finally ES. Thunderstorm (if you have it) doesn't matter when you cast it as long as its after BC.

I have 698/2170… 60 stats reserved for gear change (I’ve never been able to get used to respec… never do it)

Some people suggest damage taken goes to mana gear,.. just don’t know how to fit it on the build

I do everything in that order except cyclone. But damn, that’s a lot of work for a character with less than 100mf to do a Chaos run. Adding like 20-30 seconds to what should be a 60 second run. I have no idea how this is considered S tier… I may as well bring a bo barb to the game while I’m at it

Agree if you tele into a the seal pack u are toast. better to static a little away and then as they run to u spam the

Pre warlock this build along with Mosaic Assassin was at the top page of every ladder. There's even one this ladder, considering how OP the warlock is that speaks volumes.

It's S Tier because it can easily clear everything in the game on P8 (aside from a few areas with excessive blood mana curse). It's perhaps not as convenient for doing single area runs such as Chaos over and over again due to the initial setup, but that doesn't detract from it being an amazing build overall.

Also Magic Find is overrated, I've found several Death Web's and

Astreon's Iron Ward with a basically 0mf

After CTA? That's surprisingly low.

I have 1000/3400 with better gear but you should have at least 800/2700 with your gear.

For Memory, do remember on a (cheap) base you can get +3 ES bringing to +9 ES.
For the remainder the gear seems ok, maybe needs to be a little more cautious and sometimes just a bad enemy affix combo happens.

iirc, after 40 there is no benefit of es. Is that correct? Mines at 40 with my +6

You're doing something wrong with how you play. Post a video so we can see.

For reference my gear is probably not as "good" as yours. I also split my vit/mana so that I don't have to deal with the blood mana curse.

I very rarely die during TZ96 Worldstar if I

Teleport during gloams or other shenanigans.

In general I don't die unless its a desync with T5 Heralds or some issues with ES disappearing.

Walk a tiny bit more

Teleport a little less and learn where mobs usually are.

During Worldstar walk from the WP and see which monsters are on lvl 2. You'll learn quickly which monsters usually accompany souls. If you see souls you're better off walk-aporting and its probably good to have some lightning res for that area. If you zigzag in the areas where monsters usually spawn and you know there are souls there, they will always miss and then you can

Teleport before their they're able to use lightning again.

I don't understand how you die to Venom lords. Don't

Teleport into a group of them? Like when you spawn the Venom lord seal, position yourself away from where they spawn so they walk to you. It gives you time to use static and them a change to target your merc first.

Try using static before teleporting into mobs or of mob looks ultra dangerous just peck at it from the side. Otherwise the more you attack the better, so spam that hotkey! Oh and if you are blood mana cursed, use full rejuvs and/or

Teleport away. Also can't hurt to make sure your merc has a lvl 17 aura on that Insight as well as a Chains of Honor for the extra skill points if possible.
