are the extra strong/extra fast/spectral hit bonuses at lvl 5/10/15 still there?

HC RotW
Presumably, seeing how it doesn't say anything about removing them.krathkor wrote: 2 hours agohmmm...

Totally. I wasn't trying to nitpick =)
It was more of my own "survivor's relief", if you will. After some consideration, a few weeks ago I decided to use an Eth Obsession as the main weapon, instead of an Eth Thunder Maul Fortitude. So my initial reaction after reading this went from "Oh no!" to "Ahhh... Ok".
I was considering building an Eth TM Fort soon, even just for my Chronicle's sake. That plan may change now.
Similar reaction may come from Eth Breath of the Dying users, I suppose.
D2R RITW - Rein in the warlock
we will watch how the S tier warlock will be made into an ASS tier with a single patch lol. while the nerfs were necessary, and most of it is actually good, i think they may have gone overboard with ES nerfs. just fixing the multiplicative / additive and not rolling for hit would have probably reined it down. We will see for sure when the patch rolls out. I'm going to miss hephasto tho, my good boi.
Don't worry, they'll still utterly dominate.Valnerios wrote: 2 hours agowe will watch how the S tier warlock will be made into an ASS tier with a single patch lol. while the nerfs were necessary, and most of it is actually good, i think they may have gone overboard with ES nerfs. just fixing the multiplicative / additive and not rolling for hit would have probably reined it down. There is more than than one insanely overkill ES build and only one of them relies on the multiplicative nonsense. And that isn't even the strongest one. Merely the most obvious, which is why every streamer told ya to use it. ^^
Well and the cheapest to get dominating with I guess..so at least the head start does indeed get a wee bit smaller.
Right on man. I did originally take it as nitpicking so I do appreciate you clarifying that.Bisu wrote: 2 hours agoTotally. I wasn't trying to nitpick =)

I also mentally did the same thing. I just gave my ES warlock's ethereal Insight to his merc and gave Ondal's Wisdom right now for levelling, I never invested in a BiS weapon for him. Very glad I didn't!
Will buy any 3 minor keys for an Ist - message me.
Will accept statues and keys instead of rune payments for my trades.
My free items and torches are for players who play on xbox only

I expected the durability nerf, but the some of the others were a bit surprising. I hope I get a free reset to adjust.
I feel you there. I don't own a single new sunder and I offloaded the one I did have ASAP.

20 Skill points to the trash
Sigil Lethargy
Removed the Damage Taken stat.
When it comes to rare loot items, you can almost always count on Blizzard being their typical self.
Take a look at WoW, for example. Through the two decades (!) they have always done the same. First release some new content with some highly attractive yet elusive items that only hardcore guilds with well-organized raid routines may have a shot at getting part of those. Everyone grind their butt off for those shinny. Then a few months (years?) later, bang! A new patch is released, and those BiS items are now deprecated and pretty much ready for anyone to farm.
Rinse and repeat.
Making the sunders and statues more accessible is similar. It's definitely a good news for players that prefer soloing. The current Herald mechanism is just down right stupid.
Did Token of Absolution just get more valuable?
Aye, figured they'd come down in price soon enough. Though it sounds like they're about to come down much harder than I would've thought. ^^
Only kept 1 for my sorc which I'm fine with as it does have the ideal set of stats. The rest is all sold off.

That said, just to give some credit where it is deserved:
Thank you blizz!
Specifically:
Statues dropping off non TZ bosses + Herald changes making full clears (and hence any zone) more desirable + sunders less limited, making shard games less vital to try and get them = should result in a massive reduction (if not removal) of the current abysmal "JUST SHARDED CAN'T LEAVE! ... BUT WSK TZ IS COMING UP!" and such FOMO design nonsense. Seems we're finally going back to a more relaxing play-when/how/what-you-want-to approach. Huzzah!
You would think Blizzard, would've released a PTR during or at the end of Holidays prior to putting RoTW up for sale. Wait, then they wouldn't know if it was going to sell enough copies to justify their efforts?
Fair nerf list, IMO. The game was needing it.
Yes, this sounds really good! I like almost everything they are planning to do. Glad I kept my two nearly perfect non Eth. Ariocs. Had a gut feeling about this Eth. thingSchnorki wrote:

After a 20 year break from D2 I started playing D2R in 2024 with my sons (9 and 10 years old)
Time Zone: UTC/GMT +1/+2 (Germany)
Online workdays: casually from 07:00-09:00 pm
Online weekends: casually midday to evening
Non-Ladder | Softcore | Expansion

Fun fact: I just sold the one I had up for trade..for a Jah more than I priced it at before seeing these notes.
(Which should be roughly fair post-patch)
Sigh... so no more tens of thousands of damage on Echoing Strike?
Rolling back Bind Demon was really a nasty surprise!

Demonic Mastery is kind of the one main change that I'd question on that list. Bind Demon will still be way too strong and remain pretty much obligatory for the free aura stick. As a direct result of that, Consume now simply won't work without 10+ hard points in Demonic Mastery because you can't summon the extra demon to Consume and your gear won't help you enable it.
Simple performance balancing would've probably made a bit more sense than just going "u gunna need more skill pts son!". But oh well. We'll see how it plays out.
