If I had let me scammed, I would not complain, it would be my bad alone.
I emphasize my "naivity" as means to express the morally correct way to act in the world, which would make it easier on everyone. Every buyer that jumps off will eventually end up as a seller, suffering from the same problem he caused in the first place.
Due to our conversation, however, I have only seen the point that the experience also heavily depends on the kinds of goods you supply. If it is a replaceable commodity, then chances are probably considerably bigger that someone jumps off for a quicker trade.
I usually do not sell commodities, so maybe that's why my experience differs (though bursting trades are not half as miserable for those goods anyways).
Also if someone does or does not react within some timeframe is largely irrelevant for me, I can wait and the time spent is minimal.
Though it never occured to me that someone literally retracted from the trade between us negotiating ingame and me setting up a game...
Actually I think I went out of my way to include your full context. Would you care to place that statement in some broader context which substantially changes its meaning?
Thanks. Assuming (naively) that you really mean what you say and aren't being sarcastic on the basis of me not having as many logged trades on this site as you do, I hope so too. And I hope that all your future trades are free of BS and shenanigans, and that you get what you ask for and what you pay for promptly. I hope this for everyone. Things would be better that way for all concerned.
Thank you.
My hope is not yet lost that enough people sticking to their word, even if inconvenient at times, might improve the situation for many.
In the meantime I will try to avoid being disappointed, by simply not being on the buyer side too often.
Also I'm not angry because I didn't get an item cheap, I'm angry because it was an item that is not on trade every day and I had liked a fair chance at it.
What item was it, if I may ask.
