Cow King's Hide still not dropping?

I've been grinding the cow levels in Normal and Nightmare modes for two days now and have collected everything

The Cow King is capable of dropping—with one exception.

Today i switched off the entire lootfilter and ran about 4 houres of normal cows and then I noticed something strange.

No single

Studded Leather was dropeed from any cow in any quality..

I just want to ask if anyone can confirm that

The Cow King drops this item on normal difficulty?

(I play online and already have the other two set items)

After patch, I havent find one.

Boots since RotW. Farming for the set seems to take longer than it seems now

ive seen it only drop in hell TZ cow lvl.
does it drop from normal/nightmare cow king too?

Cow King's Horns in NM and

Cow King's Hooves on Normal.

Also why would anyone farm NORMAL or NIGHTMARE for this item? wouldnt it be higher chance for it plus other goodies on top of it on hell / tz hell?

If you target-farm specific item is better to do it on the lowest level that can drop it. That way you discard the all top tier items that can drop from the same monster and have better odds to get the desired item.

If you farm in Terrorized Hell every monster can drop every item in the game (assuming your character is a high level one) and this makes that all items compete for a chance to drop. If you go to Normal or Nightmare, not every item is allowed to drop in that dificulty and this eliminates the unwanted items (could be a high rune or high end gear but you're not interested in it if you target-farm only a specific item). This is my case now with

Blinkbat's Form and

Hotspur. These are the only ones that I miss on my old Holy Grail list (pre RotW). The best place to farm those is Normal and Nightmare, where are less item able to drop.
