Resurrected Sorceress Europe PC
For the 1
Perfect Gems
thing... One of my favorite deal was when I offered 10GC's (all from lvl92+
Terror
zones) for 10
Perfect Gems
, just to free up some space in the stash. That was the fastest deal of mine with 6hours. Everyone was happy and with the gems I rerolled a necro summon skill gc for the first try :D
Now I just look for more
Perfect Gems
to reroll GC's from lvl94+ TZ's...

Sometimes it is better to accept a 1
Perfect Gems
offer, than keeping the trash item in your inventory :)

Anyway, I will put some IK crusher to the market for this price as well...

I don't have RotW expansion yet.
When I look for rune, you can offer
Perfect Gems
as well.
I live in Europe/Budapest timezone.

It has always been like this, but this season It's a bit more prominent because of the many new and returning players that just really don't know the up-to-date prices or
Confuse
non-ladder with ladder pricing.

What i'm more salty about are the bulk-sellers who dump their unique portfolio and refresh it every six hours without answering to reasonable offers because they are hoping for a sucker.

I also agree that we need to provide guidance to the new folks surging into the D2R community because of ROW. There have been a couple of trades involving pgems where they threw in a handful of pammies and I gave them a heads up that typically those are valued higher than normal gems.

I always try to put an asking price or a BIN, but sometimes I will write "make an offer" or "lf offers" for some reasons:

A. It is an item that I will just accept pretty much any offer for

B. I am not sure what to value it at, even after doing my research (I always do my research)

C. I want people to bid on it (this is a normal thing for a bidding/trading site)

I'm sure there are people who do, but most of us aren't trying to screw over new players or anyone. At the end of the day it's just fun to trade and help people get stuff they need. Sometimes people will be more inclined to ask for an item if they can name their own price rather than locking it to a specific rune or something.

All trades are negotiable within reason :)

I used to do that but noticed that sometimes you sell yourself short. So I just put what I want in my signature with instructions after all its an auction site for all items in the game even cheap ones.

LF:HRs,
Perfect Gems
,
Perfect Amethyst
,
Hel
,
Ral
,
Key of Hate
Key of Terror
Key of Destruction
. Do not ask me how much an item is worth value is perceived. Please use the price checking tool before posting an offer please.

My favorite is when you put in an offer, let's just say 5
Jah
. And the seller comes back with "I was looking to get 10
Jah
". Well why didn't you start off with that? Were you hoping someone didn't do their research and offer you 15
Jah
?

When a seller writes "lf offers" I immediately assume 1 of 2 things if its not a super rare item:
1) Lazy and didn't want to research fair prices
2) Hoping someone offers more than fair value to take advantage

I almost never waste my time on trades with only "lf offers". Most of the time the sellers get annoyed with my offers. Its like going to a grocery store and instead of seeing prices tags on the items everything says "make offer". Ok, how about 5 bucks for my whole shopping cart? If everything says "make offer" its a garage sale and you're getting low-balled. Don't get mad or insulted when you get low-balled. In my opinion its the sellers responsibility to research their item's value. Don't crowd-source offers to determine value. If you genuinely don't know what your item is worth, then ask before posting it.

price-check
I 100% agree with this. When i was playing online and doing trades here i never traded with a "lf runes" or "make offer" for normal shit. whenever i listed i always looked at comparable listings and price history and i never had trade issues lol.
