Can be used to make Runewords:

goodluck, and may the RNG god be with you.
So far it seems that any build for Warlock is viable - some are even massively overpowered.
you can change the subs to english
now, imagine this with the horazon set for 350% more damage. this is gonna hit like a truck.
I don't really know where is the fun to play that kind of overpowered char.
My timezone is CET/UTC+1.
Realistically, you'd be hard pressed to find a warlock build that isn't at bare minimum 'viable' and more likely on the rather OP side.
Pick what you want, nigh all of it works.

It's unreasonable to expect the completely new class to be perfectly balanced from the get-go. It most likely will be nerfed, possibly sooner than later and in more ways than one - judging from what I've seen online, to me both Eldritch and Demon skill trees both seem a bit too OP.Tornado_OLO wrote: 3 hours agoI don't really know where is the fun to play that kind of overpowered char.
That's also one of the reasons I'm not making a warlock just yet - I'll wait for at least the first balance patch.
The balance patch will be some time later after buyer stable, they certainly do want more people buy it.(and it is success now) Currently new buyer want to play this. They want fun with what they paid. And it is very hot, see some of the ridiculous torch pricing....
You can see that as index , means how many people still interest.

Where do you see any kind of balance ?
Its' like if you were able to cast a 85K Bone Spear with a budget gear.
I have never seen such a bad balance in 25 years of gaming.
Imagine a new class like that warlock in a world competitive game like LOL or any PvP game.
Blizzard would have been insulted by players.
Fortunately there is no more competitive PvP in D2.

OP? Ha! Working as intended. Much like how New Dad lets me stay up late and borrow smokes, New Devs wanted people to be be able to solo Uber Tristram without Goldwrap and the 3 Bers (and 4 Jahs, 2 Vexs, and...)
Concur with the others that after the hub-bub, nerf hammers will fall. Personally, I am going to stick with the safe (and cheap) gearing for a bit. Can never go wrong with Magefist and Spirit; dropping 6 Vexes and Jah/Bers might be...hasty until the first round of changes better define what the Warlock is really s'posda be.

I hope it will rather than buffing every other class...sewcioj wrote: 3 hours agoIt's unreasonable to expect the completely new class to be perfectly balanced from the get-go. If that happens when people lose of interest and go...that will sounds...fair?
Their new dev is basically need news things to be play...it is necessarily to have new things better than old. (Jewels, class , sets)
Yes . We are in the time period of strongest time of warlock. That makes me think, maybe current budget build will perform better than future 1 year later GG build. Isnt that sounds attractive that people want back play a week or 2 then quit?
I am wondering , they probably will trigger new craft system when people start lose interest. And the balance thing, maybe much later like Mosaic story. Everyone already played and new thing show. So the 'balance' come.

But it's not competitive like LOL or any PvP. It never was. This whole comparison is invalid.Tornado_OLO wrote: 2 hours agoWhere do you see any kind of balance ?

Warlock being unbalanced is the reason I'm not playing it yet, however I don't see a reason to get so riled up. There's plenty of other stuff to do in RotW, and in the end it's just a game, if you don't like it then play something else, or stick to vanilla D2R.
BTW - Blizz seemingly don't do anything with the game for X years - "Blizz bad". Blizz drops whole new DLC - Blizz... even worse? Like, some people can't be pleased no matter what.
Dont just look the dark side of that.
The new game is more reasonable to balance the charm, if the craft system show.
You craft , magic charm preserve its status and roll new affix then it is what it is. Like all craft things, craft only once.
And new world , Perfect Gems become more balance in pricing, except Perfect Amethyst. Because some needs no longer valid due to new jewel and new craft system.(rare circle less need, people need magic things)

IMHO, balance is part of the quality of a game.
I complete agree, a new DLC may need some balance. But we are talking about at least a x10 multiplier.
The developers just didnāt do their job properly.

I saw a yt thumbnail where it said "skill changes" after the 30th anniversary chat or smth. now, are they gonna just buff all classes? are they gonna change skills and Edge out niche builds? no idea.
it could go several ways and with blizzard you never know. buffing all classes would make the game more casual (which could be what they want, just take a look at wow and they have a huge player count now).
I actually don“t think they will nerf the warlock much as they had a long, long time to build the warlock class.
It probably problem of their QA or designer.Tornado_OLO wrote: 2 hours agoIMHO, balance is part of the quality of a game.

So far , the game can run, not many bugs, only small barbarian mob UI looks terrible and some crashes and some issue impact original D2RćUIļ¼
It is not perfect but this warlock quantity is acceptable . Let's look back D3, dont you think it is much better?
And first version of LoD...It is much better but , still some good thing in it, right. Of course it doesn't justify the pricing. But at least it is something ok.

I think the warlock works as intended. it's so OP that everybody notices. I just don't think that ppl who actually developed the class didn't see this.Tornado_OLO wrote: 2 hours agoIMHO, balance is part of the quality of a game.

If you're expecting warlock nerfs, keep in mind we've had meta javas and hammerdins and... for 20 years.
Blizz doesn't care if something is beyond broken. They never have. If they did, their failed streamer-based play testing would've never let this pass..even they can't be blind enough to not see this crap.
Then again, maybe they did and just didn't say anything since it gets them more clickbait videos..ugh..

the idea of buff all classes...it is unlikely. because it will cost too much development effort. The thing , buff all classes, they would rather use that dev power to create another warlock 2. buff all class is need a lot of effort to ensure they does not break old things and make thing terrible. It may cost more than just create act 6 and new class.Crispin wrote: 1 hour agoI think this will happen actually.Trang Oul wrote: 2 hours agoI hope it will rather than buffing every other class...sewcioj wrote: 3 hours agoIt's unreasonable to expect the completely new class to be perfectly balanced from the get-go. I thought because of the old code it would be quite the effort for a long time, but they put in the effort already. they have new effects, modern effects and they solved the bag problem in WOW (wow had a problem with bag space for a long time and they couldn't put in bigger bags because of a limit they put before. they solved that, too) and I think they solved this one too. act6 could be a big change for the game. time will tell.leox wrote: 1 hour agothe idea of buff all classes...it is unlikely. because it will cost too much development effort.
