Damn it, just checked out Terror Travincal. All of the council members were invisible. Since one of them had a Conviction aura I got out quickly. What is this?DKBam wrote: 2 days agoAll council members in the Durance of hate were invisible. See the picture, the Council Member is where the cursor is and my merc is fighting against him.DKBam wrote: 2 days agoWell, the archers in the cave were invisible again. In act 2 Terror zones ( Tal Rashas and Snakes) everything was fine today.DKBam wrote: 2 days agoThe updates are promising in my opinion, but of course I have to play the Warlock version some more.
I am a hardcore player and I did play two runs in terrorized zones yesterday, one in the pits and one in the Catacombs. Some monsters were invisible, I could recognize them only because of the curse above their heads. Andarial I could not see but my Fury druid smacked her down anyway. So I stopped playing and did some invetory stuff instead. To risky as a hardcore player. I will check it out again later today. Probably some bugs have to be cleaned up.
Did anybody else experience this issue?

Sounds like a bug (that some others have also encountered). I’m not sure what the fix is and I’m sorry for suggesting it but did you try doing a clean reinstall?DKBam wrote: 11 hours agoDamn it, just checked out Terror Travincal. You know, when I saw the announcement I could hardly believe it.
25 years since a major update and here we are. Now I heard there's still millions that play (I knew a lot played just by the servers). With D4 and DImm being such flops (except for in the Chinese market for DImm) it makes you think if they'll finally see this and glue back to the D2 style and formula, and give the Resurrected dev team a new project.
Who am I kidding, it's Activision-Blizzard, but a boy can Dream.
I think I love this new update, I think the $25 pricetag is more than fair. I like all the new stash improvements.

Currently I made it to Act 3 with the Warlock, I think I'm lvl 22... and I'd been running around Act 1 & 2 shooting waves of fire dropping minions, and it's satisfying for a while... but they it just started to feel really familiar, it feels like I'm like a Wake of Fire Sin, back in the old days just running through dropping entire waves; or maybe a Fissure druid running around clearing; or maybe a necro shooting Teeth? Or maybe for those going Demons, a Summoner Druid or Necro running around watching your goat and merc drop corpses.
And I know there has to be one person who's the naysaying dbag, so I'll just be the first to say it, 'cause I saw someone compare this expansion to the 2001 expansion 25 years ago, where we got the Druid, which brought it Brand new rendered skills like Molten Boulder, Fissure, geddon, nados, Grizzly bear/wolves, and the very original Shaper skills becoming another animal; or the fact that we got an entire new Act 5 and a new class of Runeword items completely unique.
Then it dawned on me... besides the Mr. Llama Warlock char, most of this stuff isn't "new content" in the same way as above from 2001. For instance, there's no new acts, they added an Uber Ancients which is sweet but its just more manipulating Terror zones and changing stash things of the existing game, and changing the stats on daggers which already existed. The Warlock spells are mostly just differently rendered colors and effects of EXISTING spells, the fire tree are just Fire Wall/ Nova animations changed, the Apocalypse is fairly new; the Demonic summons are just existing monsters already in game, it's not like they added summoning some giant demon from the abyss, Dragon, or angel created these are things easily made cause they're already in the game, like the goats, its about the easiest you can do 'cause unlike Grizzly or Wolves there's no new animations needed. I don't know, it just doesn't really feel that different it just feels like some OP hybrid version of a fire druid & necromancer.
Also, one critique on the new items is that it seems so heavily catered to casters from what I've seen, I'll have to wait more. But if you're expecting more melee things like a new Azurewrath, Windforce, Bonesnap mauls, etc. it just feels like a bunch of Necro and Druid players got together like "we need more fcr items with skills, better facets for them too".

Does anyone else find it strange that the Chronicle does not track runes themselves and only runewords? I think most grailers include runes.
My items and characters are now in the RotW realm.

This was so exciting of an announcement and it was shadow dropped. I am quite surprised to be honest.
I've been away from the game for only a month and this happens. I'm shocked and I have to eat my words because I truly didn't believe the knowledge or the intent to re-engineer the game still existed in that company.
I haven't bought the expansion yet because I only read about it less than half an hour ago in Google News. However, from what I can see, the QoL improvements look great. They appear to be everything that we hoped for, and the stacking of gems and runes will go a long way toward freeing up stashes and mules. The Warlock class and the TZ changes look exciting. I'm not so sure about the Colossal Ancients, but I will be pleasantly surprised if I can't faceroll them with my 99s anymore.
What I don't like is the new itemization, which is the same modern-day Blizzard BS where the range of percentages are miserly, perfect items are almost impossible, each individual item is generally less impactful, and you need two monitors on the side to look up what everything does and how it impacts your build (as opposed to only one monitor before
).
Not sure when I'll have time for RotW though. Also, it looks like there are things to be aware of and what will be impacted if I convert my characters to the new expansion. All in all, not bad for the team not having access to certain parts of the codebase to truly build brand new content.

I don't like that it includes runewords. Now I have to waste a bunch of high runes making runewords that I'll never use and will never be able to sell.justinman114 wrote: 4 hours agoDoes anyone else find it strange that the Chronicle does not track runes themselves and only runewords? I can trade RotW on xbox only, not PC.

I'm with you there. Good luck to the majority of players getting that done anyways, especially in single player!Knappogue wrote: 1 hour agoI don't like that it includes runewords. It'll never happen in single player! Counting just Jah, you'll need 12 to complete the runeword grail. I've been playing semi regularly for 3 years on D2R and I've found 2 Jah...justinman114 wrote: 1 hour agoI'm with you there. There is - at least concerning D2 - nearly nothing insane enough that not somebody is doing it
After a 20 year break from D2 I started playing D2R in 2024 with my sons (9 and 10 years old)
Time Zone: UTC/GMT +1/+2 (Germany)
Online workdays: casually from 07:00-09:00 pm
Online weekends: casually midday to evening

You're right! I was envisioning your average single player, not the nutjobs on youtube haahaa!oOKIWIOo wrote: 33 minutes agoThere is - at least concerning D2 - nearly nothing insane enough that not somebody is doing it
