Description

The expansion looks like it adds a lot of long overdue QoL. Warlock class could be cool. New items could be cool. Expanded TZ's are good.

dolls and and gloams everywhere is bullshit. The player hunter NPC could go either way. Uber Ancient's could be cool, but what kind of reward is going to beat the
Hellfire Torch
, except some new super-OP item that just becomes a standard item everyone has to have?

I don't want to be negative because something this big after 25 years is great. I'm genuinely pumped that Blizzard put in this effort, I'm just concerned about balance. Will everyone now need to be the same three builds with BiS gear to clear? There were a lot of existing skills that needed some buffs and I don't know if anyone has had the time to look into the amount of re-balancing, if any, that was done.

Also, now the player base is split even further. I'm probably going to upgrade at least some of my characters once Blizzard has some time to see the expansion run live and do some tweaks and bug-fixes. I'm curious, how many of you are going to switch?

Can be used to make Runewords:

I had some left over xbox live points so I picked RotW essentially free. I only converted my main MF character and one mule of low runes so far.
As of now my favorite part is finding any set or unique item. I seriously got excited to find Isenhart's last night because I could add it to my
Compendium
.
I'm picking up any base I find so I can make junk runewords to also add those to my
Compendium
.
I haven't created a Warlock yet...Magic Finding has become fun again for me.

All my
Blood Ring
and
Caster Amulet
priced at
Ist
or below are now FREE.

I'm having the exact same experience. Every Unique and Set item brings joy lol. Even better when finding new green items (a green
Kris
!) or uniques of completely new base items ("
Burnt Text
"!)

Also the Shards...

EDIT: also kinda funny to have it inscribed on your Chronicle things like:
Harlequin Crest
-- dropped by a Quill Rat (!). I had amazing luck yesterday,
Shako
was the fourth Unique item I found while playing RotW (order in screenshot from bottom to top):

I mean, I just deleted 8 mules. Felt AMAZING.

If you get a PM offer, post it in the trade. Promote healthy competition instead of settling for less. ;)

i swapped all my offline characters to rotw immediately. I'm in the same boat as someone said earlier, i was picking up tancreds
Helm
and any random green/brown i could find. It was great :)

if/when i ever come back to online play, i'll definitely be moving stuff over. Being able to delete the gem and rune mules i had offline was so satisfying.

Currently playing SSF Offline only
95 Javazon - 94
Fireball
sorc - 80
Frenzy
barb
91
Dragon Tail
assassin - 85 hammerdin
Offline milestones achieved: Enigma, Phoenix, Grief
Current goal: Infinity

I switch, it is great!
