Why do they do this shit, especially when it works in offline single player?
Not a huge deal, just sitting here with a gemmed Avenger Guard ( Shael+ Io+ Thul) that was supposed to give me a cheap source of CBF (Hearth) for a barb I'm leveling on SC NL. /rant

Can be used to make Runewords:

FOMO. Resets are there to make you play the game over and over again, and LD exclusive content is there so you don't just stick to NLD.BigD wrote: 5 months agoWhy do they do this shit, especially when it works in offline single player?
OP
Yeah I guess so but by that logic it shouldn't be available in offline single player (which is where I previously used it so therefore assumed it would work here lol)
Whatevz im a noob to online play so I'll figure these things out as I go along i guess lol

You have spent some low runes on this. Make sure you don't waste a Cham or a Gul on Metamorphosis or Mosaic.
Check the runewords page and filter by Misc > Ladder only.

This game would of have died long ago without ladders
No new content in an online game = dead game.
We are close tonthis. Just have a look at streams numbers.
My timezone is CET/UTC+1.
You fail to remember how old the game is and the fans of this game should be happy they even got the reworked cheap ass version called d2r. Nobody continues supporting a game which is mainly played by bots.Tornado_OLO wrote: 5 months agoNo new content in an online game = dead game.

I get that, 100%, but I'm just saying that if its "ladder only" then it shouldn't be available in offline SP either which is misleading. I support having things exclusive to ladder, I see the incentive behind it.
Anyways whatever like buddy said it only costed some cheap runes to learn.

"Not many people are watching streams" is not equal to "not many people are playing the game" though. I, for instance, have played since LoD release and currently have no plans to stop, but never watched a D2R stream in my entire life.
Oh definitely. But it's one way to gauge overall interest in a game, and identify trends in said interest. Overall viewer count on Twitch for D2R is down quite a bit from the first year after release. Fewer streamers too for that matter.Nekeyby wrote: 5 months ago"Not many people are watching streams" is not equal to "not many people are playing the game" though. I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.
My profile says Softcore, but I play both Softcore and Hardcore.
My Holy Grail Tracker is for Offline Hardcore.

Same here. I dont watch streamers, imo its idiotic that people get paid for playing video games and streaming it. It wont make the world any better place in any way, just takes money from the gullible fools and even that business has been taken over by the greedy ones.Nekeyby wrote: 5 months ago"Not many people are watching streams" is not equal to "not many people are playing the game" though. If that's the measuring stick you're using, then that includes most people & jobs in the whole world. At least streamers provide entertainment for others to enjoy. Whether you find that entertaining is a different story though of course.
Also, we're getting way off-topic here.

I do not even know a single D2 player personally who uses twitch at all... Including myself.ShadowHeart wrote: 5 months agoOh definitely. Almost no casual players bothers watching streams, and it's the casual players that are still mostly trickling into the game.
It's all about people wanting to have fresh economy system. With ladder reset, every useful item becomes far more valuable, and the game changes drastically just based on this alone. Unfortunately, this state changes rather quickly because bots are still around but even with the bots, they can only mine things so much.BigD wrote: 5 months agoI get that, 100%, but I'm just saying that if its "ladder only" then it shouldn't be available in offline SP either which is misleading. With single player, there's no concern of economy system issues like LD vs NLD, since there's no ladder system in SP. Sure they can disable LD only items in SP but that won't be fair to people who play SP only.
So you have two choices, play LD or SP. Actually, you can obtain these items in NLD after LD season ends, which is another option.
I will try to make a ladder hammerdin in doing at least Hustle and Cure runewords. If trade these runewords outside ladder will pay much more.conix67 wrote: 5 months agoIt's all about people wanting to have fresh economy system. If you're looking for a cheap way to get CBF then consider a Death's Guard Sash which can be upgraded to increase the number of Belt slots to 12.
