Hey folks!

I'm kinda confused: I wanted to crunch some numbers for a friends' Strafezon. He is considering different options (Faith GMB,
Windforce
, BotD
Colossus Crossbow
).

But the IAS Calculator and maxroll give different attack speeds:

Faith in GMB with 15
Fanaticism
and 50% IAS is

4+(2)+6 at the IAS Calc
and
5+(3)+7 at maxroll.

Which one is correct?

Thanks in advance!

Warren calc is accurate, Maxroll has numerous inaccuracies with their IAS calcs.

iirc 2 frame srtafe was bugged in LOD

visually 2 frame strafe seems fine, but googling around there are claims it's still bugged "server side" whatever that means, and the 3/4 damage penalty is still there b/c the missles.txt was not patched...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Correct, 2 frame strafe was a client side bug in LoD (would actually be 3 frame on server side), in D2R it's fixed and 2 frame strafe is fully functional.

Client side is the part of the game that controls graphics and such that visually relays the info to you, server side is the part that handles the game logic and calculations and such. What the strafe bug did in LoD was the client saying you had 2 frame strafe while the server says you have 3 frame, so client side you'd attack at 2 frame but then you'd be stuck unable to move for 1-2 seconds after strafe finished because in reality you were doing 3 frame server side and thus you hadn't actually completed your attack yet.

Hopefully that makes sense. :P

impressionistic testing with my Faith bowazon

15 ias vs 50 ias

huge and obvious difference in strade speed

@krathkor 15 ias is too slow. That would be 5+(3)+8 with both. According to Warren's calc (https://warren1001.github.io/IAS_Calculator/) the breakpoints are 0, 18, 35 and 50 ias (with lvl 15 fanatism and GMB). So you should test at least 18 ias against 50 ias.

As far as I can tell maxroll and warren show the same eias but maxroll's table ends with 5+(3)+7 no matter how much ias/eias you have while warren's also has 4+(2)+7 and 4+(2)+6 breakpoints.
Amazon basin has some old info that server side 2 frame
Strafe
does not exist https://www.theamazonbasin.com/forums/i ... d-testing/

Don't take my words for granted but maxroll showed no improvement if I add IAS jewel (using Faith in GMB as well) while Warren showed improvement. I did add 15 IAS jewel and
Strafe
performance definitely did improve. Another sources of IAS were 20 from gloves and 20 from neck. With 15 IAS jewel it was 55 together. Plus level 14
Fanaticism
aura that adds 33% IAS. So I believe that Warren calculator is the correct one.
