Description

I bought the game today and I cannot launch it at all, at first it was giving me a crash report but now it goes Play-Launching-Play. What can I do:(
I tried every fix on the internet - windows and all of the drivers are up to date, I tried every method can I could find on the official troubleshooting guide and forums, I reinstalled both bnet and d2r. No geforce experience. Firewall disabled. Everything running asthe administrator. Nothing works.
I didnt delete Settings.JSON because D2R folder in C:\Users\WindowsUSERNAME\Saved Games\ doesnt exist.

That should do quite well so we know it's not a hardware issue and that leaves software as the probable cause.

You did complete the initial download before launching?

The launch app is failing to launch because it can't find the needed files to make it happen. So something is either blocking it or the files are corrupted.

I've no idea what could be blocking it, I have disabled both antivirus and firewall and I'm running everything as an administrator. Reinstalling the game doesn't do anything.

Sounds like you've got a DNS resolution problem. Try flushing DNS with

Code: Select all

 ipconfig /flushdns 
command.

Here's what we know. "Error while performing host resolution for 'eu.cdn.blizzard.com'. Error (10109)"

The cdn in the error message stands for "content Delivery Network." Either something in your system is blocking/preventing Blizzard (firewall/Antivirus) or Blizzard can't communicate with your installation which suggests a flaw or corruption in the original install. Clearly your connection works or you wouldn't have been able to install anything so now we have to determine what is preventing the game from initializing.

This a list of possible reasons given by Blizzard and any one of those could cause your issue, but something is blocking or preventing the content delivery network from doing its job.
1.Disable any proxies that may interfere with the login module.
2.Configure your security software's exception list to allow Blizzard applications to run.
3.Close all other applications to resolve software conflicts and free up resources.
4.Repair Disk Permissions to resolve any permission conflicts with logon modules.
5.Try creating a new administrator account to resolve permissions issues.
By the way, lately Blizzard launch app has been painfully slow across all servers. Sometimes even I've failed to get into a game and I've had to right click on it in the quick launch, exit it, and reload it.

From the first 4 errors on your log, it seems that your OS doesn't recognize IPv6 address, which the 3 blizzard web address are. The error -10109 is a connection error, I think.
Maybe you can check if your system enables IPv6 protocols before other troubleshooting.
