So far these have all been repeat events dating back to 2022 except for the first which was amended up in 2023.
I have a hunch on why we didn't see Black Friday Gambling to kick things off.
Looking back at 2022 & 2023, we saw 3x Friday's throughout the event. Each of which of course being Gambling.
This is the first year they started off on a Friday, and had they made it Black Friday Gambling, that would have pushed the potential to 4x this cycle.
We still have 3x Friday's remaining, as the final day this year is a Friday. This is likely why they ignored the first Friday as they seem to potentially only want to host this event no more than 3x in the cycle.
Time will tell, but the above logic makes sense.

Blizzard has long since forsaken the path of logic and common sense. It is barren of thought or care of its creations. We have meetings every Wednesday at 7pm for those who are still in denial.

You could pull your Uber Smiter out of mothballs, reduce his lightning resistance, and then run him against Über Mephisto a few times. Just a thought, but wouldn't a couple of disposable build slots improve empirical data collection? You could have another member sit in town to hold your game while you engage in a little crash dummy testing with the Ubers.
