We will get Patch 2.8.0 on December the 3rd and it will fix the Infinity bug
Not much but at least they still work on the game. I'm hoping for some good events when the 22 nights of Terror return later in December.

Dec 6?
Might be the most dead ladder in D2 history.
I'll be moving on the POE2..the spiritual successor to D2R.

I don't know, I think the "spiritual successor to D2r" depends on individual tastes and experiences. Titan Quest II is about to be released.Skaijuice wrote: 2 days ago Dec 6?

i dont play ladder this season ! i stay on NL to next year, we need cheap prices!
TQ2 - didn't feel for the first all those decades ago...following that roman / nordic Myth / central europe vibes don't vibe with me.mhlg wrote: 1 day agoI don't know, I think the "spiritual successor to D2r" depends on individual tastes and experiences. The graphics are stylized art form remind me a lot of No Rest of The wicked to which i already own and currently in EA.
POE2 on the other hand...hangs a huge carrot being a sequel to POE1.
1) It's F2P.
2) I totally empathized their monetary principles.
3) The "acts" remind me a lot of D2 (rogues camp / desert setting / jungle setting)
4) End Game
5) Trading system (other than gold) with no BTA/BTC limits.
6) Dark Visceral combat
Can't wait!

As stated in my post "depends on individual tastes and experiences." I enjoyed Titan Quest and its expansion "immortal throne." The map doesn't stay in Europe, it moves from there to Egypt and then on to China. As long as you don't go for the microtransactions it (POE) does have a price point advantage.Skaijuice wrote: 1 day agoTQ2 - didn't feel for the first all those decades ago...following that roman / nordic Myth / central europe vibes don't vibe with me.mhlg wrote: 1 day agoI don't know, I think the "spiritual successor to D2r" depends on individual tastes and experiences. ^ For sure.
Already the blizzless forums are abuzz with the them choosing this date (of all dates)
Especially more so when they do not hide it..and youtube? - the usual content pushers are already gushing over POE2. (as expected)
Magic items, Rares , & Uniques shall be in PoE2..i'm right at home
I would likely be going with the 60USD package - just like paying for an average AAA title. Can't remember how much i paid for Vessel pre-release but now it's on 25% discount feeling salty AF.

I got caught up by real life so i couldnt really play the ladder as much as i would have liked. hopefully i will have free time by the time the reset hits.
Didn't have time to watch that whole video yet but even with just a small part of it it already looks far more interesting than D4 ever did.Skaijuice wrote: 2 days ago Dec 6?

Was a bit surprised by the early access granting though, other than just straight buying the access packs...automatically given to anyone who spent $480+ on PoE1!? That's a lot of bloody microtransactions.
Seeing how you seem to have looked into this a lot more/played PoE1, is that all cosmetic goodness or are they actually forcing you down the road of countless functional/pay-to-win microtransactions?
There are players who really spent that $$$ on the game. OF course..it's optional. The best part is..it looks like those monies spent on features get automatically xfered to POE2. I'm guessing bank tabs, for one.Schnorki wrote: 21 hours agoDidn't have time to watch that whole video yet but even with just a small part of it it already looks far more interesting than D4 ever did.Skaijuice wrote: 2 days ago Dec 6?

The Early Access is kinda misleading in the sense that it isn't the full game dropping on Dec. It's Act 1 - 3 of 6 of the campaign, and then they focused on the end game for this drop. That was explained in that huge dev vid. So it continues to be F2P once the full game drops, but by paying for the "packages", in essence you are supporting them. So on top of "early access" you also get X amounts of points to spend as you see fit.
The dynamics got me intrigued especially how all the skills work with gems. Obviously a lot of customization and i'm already mind boggled just thinking about this.
Add the trading system in MP...this might just be it. And the number of bosses to hit up reminds me a lot of Black Myth / Elden Ring. Which means back tracking if the char is under leveled / equipped. How many of you rage quited meeting Malenia / Erlang ? Frustrating? yes. Memorable? Hell yes.
P.S I didn't watch all of it...just binge watch really.
Bonus: D2 gets mentioned in this Q&A here. There are time stamps too, for those interested.

From the economy point of view should we expect nonladder stuff tank in value even more with next season rolling in?
I'm guessing most botters sit on ladder so it's just big influx of items. Is this correct way of thinking?

In theory yes.HaveANiceDay wrote: 17 hours ago From the economy point of view should we expect nonladder stuff tank in value even more with next season rolling in?

In reality, non-ladder has been so "watered down" by now that it hardly makes a difference anymore. Also because ladder seems to be less and less popular, resulting in less stuff still flowing down.
Depends what you mean by tank in value.
High runes have lost a lot of trading value (especially when being split). Assume this is partly due to lack of demand. There are less and less active players, no surprise really. Then there is the botting factor to add on top.
Most non-ladder players are fully geared now. Consumables are your best bet if you want steady trades.
Conversely, perfect items are more expensive than ever. This trend will continue in my opinion.

Actually I meant exactly what you wrote: runes devaluating and value concentrating in perfect/very high roll items
While trading myself I look through past sales prices and I see a Pattern where many nonladder items have different prices expressed in runes in last months than previously (more or less point of change overlaping with shift of ladder season).
I'm mostly speaking about traderie as the volume of trades there is much bigger than here.
In response.. Lightning Bolt you to the face!
Well when it comes to trades in general here, when there are instances where multiple items are sold in a single topic, the variance needs to be taken with a grain of salt. There currently is no way to mark multiple items sold against the prices that are entered. The only way to get any context in this instance is to hope that a 3d is available to check the thread itself and get the context, but these expire after a set time period.HaveANiceDay wrote: 11 hours agoActually I meant exactly what you wrote: runes devaluating and value concentrating in perfect/very high roll items

I think if they were to implement a drop down menu when marking a trade sold that would allow you to enter that information it would be a win-win. (sellers would get more accurate context's and the site would not have to have as many topics up as you would be able to compress them.)
