Description

I recently switched from an Act II Might merc to an Act I merc with Faith on my Fury druid. I'm loving it so far, especially because of how many gear options it opens up due to the lower IAS requirement. An awesome change, but I keep going back and forth regarding her helmet.

Considering that:
  • She's just there for the aura and can hit max attack frames -1 with just a Treachery or Hustle, so I don't feel she needs IAS.
  • Her resistances are already capped and she rarely dies.
  • I don't have access to Cure (yet).
I keep going back and forth between
Guillaume's Face
and
Blackhorn's Face
.
  • Gface probably adds more damage, but feel I don't really need her to have CB as I cover that myself.
  • Bface makes her tougher against Willowisps and adds a slow, and Prevent Monster Heal is probably a slight upside, even if not necessary (as, again, I cover that through Open Wounds/Poison Damage).
  • Giant Skull
, besides adding CB, could get her to hit max attack frames with a couple IAS jewels.
I'm leaning towards Bface, but what do you recommend? And, as an aside, would Cure be the best option?

I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.
My profile says Softcore, but I play both Softcore and Hardcore.
My Holy Grail Tracker is for Offline Hardcore.

maybe fort with andy@ias for more phys dmg (also much more leech). lvl14 fana with 35ias is just enough for 9fpa with a gmb (and 8fpa with mb). Since fort and Faith gives 40-45@, you can socket andy with a low fire res+ias jewel to be affordable.

Or, if you are already set on the armor, and doesnt need leech on her (she doesnt have much phys dmg anyway) maybe Wisdom for the
Pierce
\cbf.

OP
Sorry to necro this thread but, well, you can probably see my class icon up there.

Anyway, I ended up permanently switching to an Act I merc with Delirium+Faith for my Fury druid and I'm happy to report that it's awesome.

I love playing Fury druids, but as far as this guy goes, he's my uber killer. In that regard, the Act I merc has been a blessing because she actually matters. And Delirium is super useful.
  1. I quickly found out that the auras of an Act II merc cease to function when he turns into corpse mode. And he did that a lot in
    Uber Tristram
    . Maybe it's the weather.
  2. In stark contrast, the rogue stays far away and seems much more reluctant to adopt her corpse form, making it actually worth it to resurrect her when she eventually does.
  3. Having
    Fanaticism
means that you can reach much better IAS breakpoints with a Death
    Decapitator
and that's way more useful than Might(+Concentratation Aura, even). Especially because of point 1.
  4. Confuse
procs often, and keeping the trash befuddled by the green sparks above their heads comes quite handy while you smack up the brothers.
  5. I keep a Reaper's Toll on swap to kill the physical immunes and I've had no issue with curse overlap. I think probably because, even though
    Confuse
    procs often enough,
    Decrepify
    procs much more often.
Anyway, I forgot I made this thread and just found it while looking for something else. I figured an update was in order. : )

That's really cool! I will try it right now.

I wonder if it's worth the potential aggravation of overwriting
Decrepify
against physical immunes.

I only play softcore, non-ladder.
