Gambling for elite coronets: character level price per gamble vs odds/quality

Description

I've been trying to read into gambling but still don't understand. I'm really only gambling for a jewlers
Tiara
of speed or 2/20 coronets with good mods. So far haven't found much.

I've read you only need to be character level 87 to gamble for coronets with the best possible mods, and they would be the cheapest. Is there any worthwhile advantage to gambling with a higher level character with more expensive gambles?

Should I only gamble for coronets on level 87, or go for the highest level character I can get?

Thanks!

If you searching for a specific item the most efficient way is to limit the alvl to the max of the affixes you want (higher alvl means more affixes available and less chance to get what you want...)

Jeweler's (55) of Speed (37) is 55

2 skill (90) + (Prismatic (42) or Magus (29)) is 90

When you gamble ilvl is your level -5/+4 (randomly)

So for
Circlet
(qlvl 24 + qlvl 3 = min alvl 27)
you have to be L57 and L92 respectively (-3+5)

And for
Coronet
(qlvl 52 + mlvl 8 = min alvl 60)
you have to be L1 and L87 respectively (-8+5)

So if you are L92+ it is cheaper to gamble for a rare
Circlet
then to gamble for a rare
Coronet
😉
(but I not sure if a gambled
Circlet
can become a
Diadem
or
Tiara
, or if only a gambled
Coronet
can... 🤔🤔🤔 - as for the Jeweler's with 3 sockets you need the gambled item to become
Tiara
or
Diadem
...)

Circlet
and
Coronet
can’t have 3os.
So you may want to gamble at higher level for a better chance to upgrade to
Tiara
/
Diadem
.

I don’t bother gamble because the chance to get a gg item is so low. We used to able to gamble with infinite gold during December. I was lucky enough to gamble a Griffon but still no gg 2/20/2os or anything close.

Relax and have fun!
