With summon necro, the good news is that you can use cheap runewords to make big parts of your gear.
Normal Countess is perfect for Stealth.
Wand
at normal
Drognan
+ Nightmare countess for White
Nightmare countess + decent head for Rhyme
Nightmare countess for Lore...
Rare rings with fcr are cool (got one from
Akara
when saving Cain!).
Other rares can be gambled or found, mainly for res. Use your pgems to reroll charms perhaps ?

Anyway, my own SC summoner almost made it undying... but died when saving
Anya
to glooms and my laziness (half life, can wait to drink... oh wait, argh) but he is definitely not self found (had a full trangs and leoric waiting!)

Main: Necromancer / Second: Assassin / Third: Amazon / Check my stash and my crafts including my caster belts :), and my many cheap
Annihilus
/ Accepting payment in L or NL currency though I only play NL

Ah, I'd advise also to put 1 point in
Bone Spear
. Occasionnally it can help, better than nothing. And get a
Teleport
source as quickly as possible (on switch?) To retreat back - your summons are generally behind you, not in front especially when there are dungeons doors. GL!

And also at level 30, 1 point in Revives help a lot against bosses, typically normal Diablo or normal Ancients, or basically any other act boss afterwards.

A lot of good tips, thanks Necrarch <3

I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.

Maggot Lair can be so annoying lol, but it's finally done. On normal, at least 😅

Yeah, Maggot Lair is the worst area to run mages, your skeletons get stuck behind them. Speaking from experience. :(

All my trades are Non Ladder.
Usually available between 7 and 11 pm during the week (UTC+02:00 time) and most of the day on weekends.

Mixed trades:
Hel
= 6
Perfect Gems

Perfect Amethyst
= 4
Perfect Gems

Ral
= 2
Perfect Gems

Perfect Skull
= 2

Remember that you can use the unsummon command for such areas on mages.

Yeah, I know :) Wasn't a huge issue this time, the lone mage was mostly in the back and not getting in the way. The golem was more in the way but I just resummoned him as needed.

Well, I made it past that, now on to the canyon, tombs, and ultimately,
Duriel
. Not sure how to deal with him yet. Lanceor's tip about
Decrepify
is a good idea, but I'm only level 20 and I won't be 24 by the time I get to
Duriel
. I'd have to specifically grind some levels. We'll see.

Be sure to throw a safety TP when you enter in the chamber, Dudu can be annoying. Merc and anti freeze pots + healing potions should help if with a decent (cruel?) Polearm.

Yeah, I always feed myself and my merc thawing potions. He should be able to tank
Duriel
as long as I have enough healing potions. I just need to actually damage him too :P

Hmm...
Nagelring
or
Manald Heal
? That is the question. Sadly it is too soon to be able to get a SoJ.

Well, that wasn't so bad - merc juiced with thawing potions,
Iron Maiden
on
Duriel
, and re-summoning
Clay Golem
as needed. He did indeed focus on the golem. 😊
On to Act 3!
