Description

Hello guys i'm new here and in D2, i started to play with my necromancer and have question... ah forgot sry for my bad eng and ty for ur help!

i have reched 85 and thinking to do my frist respec
This is my gear/build, actualy i miss the SOJ and the neck (i think i can buy that fast)
Gear/build: https://maxroll.gg/d2/d2planner/xc01061n

1) the
Skeleton
stats change when i change my gear?
i will try to do a Beast weapon atsome point so i want to know if switching to "
Arm of King Leoric
" is a good idea for creating the army

2) the horrible golem question!

I saw many guide and they all say
Iron Golem
is the best ..... but read it disappear some time.. this bug is fixed or not?
like the title said i'm a little "careless" when play, i like to "watch something" during my gaming session... so i'm sure i will not manage the
Iron Golem
or use
Teleport

So if the
Iron Golem
is not fixed what can i use?
I run my game alone so
Decrepify
on boss do the trick.. for my exp the
Clay Golem
is a usless piece of rock not worth the point (i'm wrong?)
Blood Golem
can be decent if it takes ( might aura + Beast aura) ?
Fire Golem
can be decent or i can't use ( might aura + Beast aura) or the
Fire Mastery
from the set work on golem?
5

Can be used to make Runewords:

No, but you might lose some, if your swapped gear supports fewer bony boys.

I would say yes. The slow is really useful, can completely freeze bosses in combination with decrep.

All prices are negotiable.

Necromancer Europe PC
- Skills : Typical summon necro, works all fine ! If you respec the only useless point is
Fire Golem
which is complete crap as of now.

- Golem question : Clay is the best if you don't want to babysit him. It does nothing in terms of damage but is a HUGE tank and applies slow. However as you invested in
Golem Mastery
you probably can use
Iron Golem
(the other valid option), especially to have Insight on him. Still you'll lose it from time to time (almost never from bugs, just killed) so be ready to keep some 4 os Polearms in store and the runes ready. If you don't want to do that stick on Clay for now. Try and see !

- You may end up having extra skill points after all that. Most common is to go poison in such cases on PNova, but that's your call.

Gear :

- Full Trang / Leoric /
Marrowwalk
is all fine for a summon necro. Beast is better, but expensive.

- Your cast rate is not critical but still a bit low to my taste. Especially if you don't have the second SoJ, I'd try to get a 2/10 amulet and a 10 fcr ring to reach 48.

- Pruby in armor and
Helm
is... not great. If you don't need the extra life too hard, replace them by ptopazes for magic find. If you want to go Poison, Poison facets are cool too.

- Switch weapon : try to get
Naj's Puzzler
to use
Teleport
to reposition you, merc, golem and army.

Merc gear :
That's where things are a bit painful.

For the weapon, try to get (but these are quite expensive) an
Eth
, 4 os elite polearm for your Insight (or if you can afford it, later, Infinity can be an option for less enemy def, or Obedience, or Reaper's Toll if Insight is in your golem). Your merc will hit much harder.

For the armor, BiS is Fortitude, but in the meanwhile try to get an
Eth
elite 3 os armor to make a Treachery.

Vampire Gaze
is all fine.

Well, that's some pieces of advice, but take what you want from it.

Oh, finally, charms, try to get a few Graverobber"s grand charm of... GCs for more power, a little bit of FHR to reach next breakpoint would be nice too, fire resist SC to get 75, frw, life and mana always serve etc.

Don't forget to stay in "walk" mode as long as you're
Vampire
to block better.

Bone Break
charm-u r using full trangs which has 25% damage reduction
Naj's Puzzler
on switch
might merc with Insight-exceptional polearms are cheap, tals
Helm
and durials shell too
Clay Golem
-enough pts to reach 51% slow,
Baal
will not
Teleport
or summon his double
1 pt amp damage, don't need decrep
Spirit sword
max corpse explosion

Currently have an offer for SOJ , but suppose you can invest the 4
Ist
much better regarding your current gear:
trade/stone-of-jordan-t1353698.html

Heart of the Oak is also a good option.

Bug is fixed. The
Iron Golem
is very stable but sure you have to take care of it. I would even make a Beast Golem ;-) If you use
Teleport
it is much easier to handle the Golem and the whole minions of course.

I buy your
Hel
runes and
Token of Absolution
. Check my WTB stash!

Do you need Summon GC’s? I have some to spare, don’t play summon anymore.
Clay Golem
is Best for Act Bosses and a great damage sponge, do use it, if you are careless with an
Iron Golem
, made with Insight, you would need constant currency to afford it. Happy hunting.

Played a lot of CE+summon necro (it was my first class in D2R). This is a pretty slow build, you will feel it once you switch to sorcs/trapsin/java. And it's painfully slow if you don't have Enigma.

My latest setup for the necro was: Enigma, Insight in an
Iron Golem
, Infinity on the merc (no point doing that actually) and about 15 unused skill points (couldn't find any single skill that would improve anything).

I would strongly suggest Enigma (it's a game changer for summoner),
Clay Golem
is pretty ok if you don't have plans to build an
Iron Golem
around Insight (or even Infinity).

Pros of CE+summon: very chill, relaxed build, could easily handle anything having tons of MF

Cons of CE+summon: slow, might be boring, no working ways to improve it (once you have Enigma) . IMHO.

1) the
Skeleton
stats change when i change my gear?
Skeleton
mechanics -
Summoned minions have their stats set in Stone when they are summoned. For most minions, that means when you summon them in a game. For
Iron Golem
, it's either when you initially summon it or when you join/create a game.

So, if I have
Raise Skeleton
skill level 40, summon a
Skeleton
, then switch my gear around such that I now have
Raise Skeleton
level 20, my summoned
Skeleton
will retain his skill level 40 stats. Now, the number of skeletons you can control is dependent on your current skill level, so dropping from 40 to 20 would be a large decrease in the total number of skeletons, but not the stats of the remaining skeletons.

This means that using something like
Arm of King Leoric
to summon your minions then switching to something like like Beast is effective. While you may lose a few skeletons by switching, the ones that remain will still have the higher level stats.

This also means that full Trangs set is doing very little work for you, especially once you've summoned your army, Trangs chest is inferior to items like Smoke and
Skullder's Ire
, Trangs helmet is inferior to
Harlequin Crest
, a large range of circlets, and even Lore or
Tarnhelm
(a personal favorite for low level MF). The shrunken head is vastly inferior to items like
Homunculus
, the
Belt
is inferior to
Arachnid Mesh
, and so on. The only part of Trangs that I recommend for a mid-gear summoner is the gloves. If you don't intend to use
Teleport
at all and thus don't go for Enigma or even a staff on swap, you could also invest in a Call To Arms, which massively increases the health of your summons.

If you were a just-leveled character, I might not argue these points, but if you can afford 2x
Stone of Jordan
, you can certainly afford some other cheap items that would boost your summoner's performance by a good amount.

You could also get more power out of your character by switching your merc around a bit. Give him a different weapon like Obedience for the CB, make Insight on an
Iron Golem
or just use potions, and give him something like a Treachery for his chest slot. The +crushing blow from Obedience makes the merc much more effective against bosses and uniques, which nicely balances the fact that
Corpse Explosion
often isn't available for them like it is for trash.

OP
Ty to all of u guys!

For the golem:
i think i will try to follow ur tips, and max the
Iron Golem
, the base for Insight is important? or i need an elitè one?

For the gear:
i know Trang is not the best but when i reached up hell, was rly hard for me and i buyed it for some cheap Pgems (like 30 all the set), I think I'll hold it for a long time

Necromancer Europe PC
Max IG - not sure it's required, for survivability (IG's damage is pathetic in Hell, like Clay) which is your main concernant people usually invest more in
Golem Mastery
as far as I remember and as you did to free your merc's hand.

Check the stats , try IG and see how it feels, with
Eth
elite base Obedience on merc.

Alternatives to full Trangs are optimisations, the most important being Enigma, but Trangs is a very good starting point.

You need Insight in
Iron Golem
for just one thing - aura. If you don't need aura you would better user
Clay Golem
.
I don't have any single skill point in Golem(any kind)/
Golem Mastery
/Summon Resits. Base +1 and bonuses from gear is more than enough. Enigma and you will easily be able to reposition your golem once you see it's loosing HP.
Try to cast an
Iron Golem
from any
Poleaxe
and see how it goes. Most likely you won't like it as you will be loosing your golem periodically (meaning no point going into
Iron Golem
and
Iron Golem
/Insight). Skill points to golem/mastery/resists won't change much. You just need Enigma or go into
Clay Golem
.
Also I always have a couple of spare low level Insights (any Insight in any base is ok) to re-cast my
Iron Golem
/Insight once it's lost.

Putting points into
Iron Golem
itself only increases its armor and
Thorns
effect. Neither of those are worth the skill points. Instead, you'll want to put points into
Golem Mastery
to increase its life, speed, and attack rating.

As for the base, it's not very important.
Iron Golem
damage and attack speed is quite poor. If you're not using Enigma or another source of
Teleport
, you also have an increased chance of losing the golem compared to necros that are using
Teleport
. This further deincentivizes using an elite base item. That said, if you do stumble on a 4os
Colossus Voulge
and want to use it, there's no harm in it.
