Hi there BE(a)R with me for just a bit, please. So I wanted to share my ironically funny story. This ain't recent, it happened around Jan 2022:
When D2R came out, my plan overall was to have fun and try to check some achievements that I didn't get when I was younger, for example, one of the highest goals set was making my first Enigma ever. So, after 4 months (since D2R release) of farming hundreds of Cow, Trav, and for the past month more than 500 CS runs maybe (dunno, lost count), I couldn't take it anymore, no Ber, no Jah drops, so I was like... alright, let's start selling some stuff to get them on trade. So I did, got both the Ber and the Jah on trade in one day, made my shiny MP Enigma. Now, the next morning, I log into the game to complete a fast trade (someone had just added me). Didn't have much time, had to go, but said okay, let's do a quick CS run anyway on Sorc before going for a Cow on the Pally to have a quick fun using the Enigma. So guess, what happened, that's right, the first CS Run, the Ber dropped. Man, this game!! Okay. Next day, around 8PM, similar story, didn't have much time, let's go for a quick Cow run. Boom, what happens?! Jah Drops! Hope you enoyed Hf and take care now!
The biggest fail here is not to have made Enigma in a MP ?! XD
Ah, lol. It's a game. Not everyone is min-maxing every single thing like a robot. Some ppl just like having some fun. Enigma in an MP can be a matter of taste, and also is the lightest armor req with only 55 strength. You could make it an Archon Plate or Dusk Shroud for more str req and more def. In most cases, when you are fully geared, that extra 200 def is not gonna make a whole lot difference, lol. One more thing, less points in str = more points in vit = more hp, so it's basically a trade-off, where I'd say that having more HP is way more imp than def on a character which is not melee and you can just hit the mobs with aoe from a distance. So, yeah, absolutely no fail imo whatsoever.
Did the same, for the low STR requirements on my necro, Mage Plate to put 0 point in STR and still be able to have a Spirit on switch for my CtA (I do have a 20 STR ring though + Sandstorm).
Main: Necromancer / Second: Assassin / Third: Amazon / Check my stash and my crafts including my caster belts , and my many cheap Annihilus / Accepting payment in L or NL currency though I only play NL

Yeah I just read the description of MP here base/mage-plate-t1404.html and understand the benefit. It's not a bad choice afterall

There are a lot of never ending discussions about this topic in the web. MP is a good choice if only want to build one Enigma for more than one char.

And with Hammerdin you even need no ring or good torch because not require a Monarch for Spirit. I also use this base for my Necro

After 41 straight runs on Arcane Sanctuary, I got my first Ber. Then a Lem dropped a few seconds later for good measure. Now I just need *another* Ber so I can finally make my damn Infinity.

NEVER did I have such a streak!!!
In the span of two hours, I found 2 Ber(!!!) 1 Lo and a 71 Crack of the Heavens(which is an Ohm).
Also sold an existing item for Ber, so in 2 hours I went from 0 Ber to 3 Ber in my stash.

I just got 2 Jah runes in the same cows map. It would have happened really soon to each other but after the first one I stood there for 20 minutes in excitement after the 2nd one drop I was beside myself in joy.
