My best was a Jah from Travincal. Zod farming torch body parts. and a Lo rune from if i remember correctly, a diablo run. all solo. highest with group was a Sur.
Online mostly between the hours of 7pm to 12am EST ( US)

That's my only solo HR based on your criteria. I've also found an Ist from countess and maybe five mals from countess.
I did some math and figured that the fastest way to build Diablo Wealth was countessrunning. One Ist every 300 runs means that if you do 13000 runs you can cube your Ohm with 8 Ists and keep the other 35... 13 000 countess runs would also get you almost 1000 Keys of Terror and 50-100 Mals, lots and lots of Um, Pul and Lem.
You guys who do Cows might disagree with me. I had to wipe my hard drive and I can't find my calculation right now, but I did a comparison to cows as well.
I got 3 Ist from The Countess! After around 150-160 run.
The low rune that I found quite alot, trade to get about 5-6 Pul.
Also got 20 Key of Terror, trade it to get Gul.
Compare to 200 Trav run, nothing but Sol and Tir

I'd rather just farm nightmare and cube up HRs, but I have found a Vex! I just don't spend a lot of time in hell.

On Ladder, I've solo found everything up to Gul at least once, as well as one Jah (Stony Tomb act 2). Nothing between Gul and Jah, and nothing above Jah.

This ladder (SC) I've found 1 Jah, 1 Ber, 1 Sur, 1 Ohm, 3 Vex, 1 Gul. All from Trav council except the Ohm (wandered into Tamoe Highlands and a Dark Stalker dropped one.) All of it has been solo. Well actually all of my playing has been solo. Non-ladder I've dropped everything up to Cham a few times, except for Jah which I've had to cube up to.
Solo on ladder, I've found a single Sur at The Pit; I can't remember in regards to non-ladder. My build isn't fast and I don't go out of my way to do ideal rune-farming spots.

Found Jah in solo cows and the next day found 2 ohms in solo cows within an hour of one another. Nothing before or since

EU, CET/DST, playing early morning and evening
Almost lvl 96, and so far found 6 Jah, 2 Ber, 4 Sur, 2 Zod, 1 Lo, 8 Ohm. Only rune I have yet to see drop is Cham.
Pretty much exclusively doing solo Baal runs (and a couple hundred Trav runs here and there) and usually get them off random trash mobs on the way. Found Jah off random skele in WSK 2 days ago. Never seen them drop off elites/champs, except for Trav of course.

would you say the shortest way to get high level runes, is just by farming?
I've heard people doing shortcuts with trades of uniques?
as in, getting luckier with good pricey unique, and starting to branch out for high runes? anyone has stories like this?
