I'm curious what builds people have the most fun playing, meta or off-meta, for PvM. What build could you spend the most time playing after you're already fully geared up and still have a lot of fun?
I find myself playing some characters far more than others, with some builds I was excited about gearing up not holding my interest after they reach hell Baal.
For me Charged Strike/ Lightning Strike zon has been surprisingly fun, and Frenzy barb and zealer have been less engaging than they used to be back in the day.

Can be used to make Runewords:

While I'm generally a fan of variety and hence keep one of every class (with one doubled up for ladder), in terms of long-term entertainment nothing beats a Bone necro imo. 20 years later, I still love the design and the feel of them, the fact that they are probably one of if not the best jack of all trades (master of some) and the fact that unlike many other and nearly all meta builds, they actually require more than 1 or 2 buttons to really bring out their full potential so you're not just mindlessly droning on like you are with a hammerdin or java or the like.
I'm not the best person to be posting here — my Diablo experience was almost entirely limited to Diablo 1 and Hellfire until recently — but I thought I may as well chip in.
Lvl 91 Druid; I'm playing an Armageddon + Fire Claws + Werewolf + Werebear build (20 Firestorm, 20 Molten Boulder, 1 Fissure, 1 Volcano, 20 Armageddon, 20 Fire Claws, 10 Lycanthropy, 1 in every other Shape Shifting skill, 1 in Oak Sage, 1 in Heart of Wolverine). I'm certainly not wanting for buttons!
The spec isn't potent enough for autopiloting, and I can't advise levelling as this, but it can comfortably tackle the whole main game + Diablo Clone (haven't tried Übers yet). I've found myself only having more and more fun as I've progressed my character. I initially found this to be surprising, yet, given my gear and playstyle, it's no wonder: I'm rocking full Aldur's Watchtower + Medusa's Gaze with an Obedience polearm as my second weapon, and I'm accompanied by a Frenzy Barbarian using Sazabi's Grand Tribute + Lawbringer Phase Blade. This leads to a versatile build with plenty of micromanagement, which is just the way I like it:

- Always cast shapeshifts, spirits, and Armageddon with the main weapon set active for the Aldur's Watchtower +Skills;
- Maintain Armageddon uptime;
- Maintain Feral Rage/ Maul stacks;
- Have a living Oak Sage/ Heart of Wolverine;
- Apply Lower Resist (via Medusa's Gaze) whenever a group is Fire-vulnerable and big enough;
- Use Obedience whenever facing a majority of Fire immunes, when Life Leech is important, or when needing Crushing Blow;
- Swap wereforms when needed (Hell Temptress swarms, Lister's group, and Undead Soul Killers in particular incentivise Werebear usage);
- Restore mana with Hunger if in a serious pinch.

Cheeeeez Runasutaru, this is D2 Masterclass playstyle.
For me its just the 1-2 hours 4 times a week after work point'n'click abuse. Cant be bothered with such a micromanagement. For this Im happy to resurrect my Nova-Mana-Shield-Sorc which i exhausted 20 years ago
and of course my Frenzy horker how follows my friends FoH through CS

Yes Sir. I will stay a while and listen. Beer?
my long term favorite has always been a blizzard sorc, but when I finally got a tesladin pre-ladder, it definitely become my favorite
Can't get enough of the Frenzy Hork MF barb here! Nearing level 96 on him.
Also enjoying a Zealot (93) and Light Sorc (91), but nothing beats chance at double loot for me.

For me, Kick/Trapsin before 2.4 and Phoenix Strike MA after.
Easy to learn, hard to master.

I really like trying different builds, especially hybrids and enjoy playing different variations of sorc, pala, barb, druid but my constant companion is always summuon necro. It's a build that can virtually clear everywhere lightning fast without expensive great or even merc. Iron Golem is a different story and it is really possible to make it a strong hybrid with poison or Bone choice.
* I trade both ladder and non-ladder, please check before asking.
* All my trades are for runes, keys (especially KoT and KoH) and essences!
Javazon, due to it requires lots of hard work ...
wwsin but ww is a bit... not great right now. If they fix it I'd like to do a Plague + Bramble wwsin, seems like it'd be fun, but right now idk if it's worth the runes or repair costs.
ATTENTION: I WILL BE MOVING ON JUNE 30TH, ALL TRADES WILL BE PAUSED. FIBER WILL BE INSTALLED ON JULY 5TH, IF YOU PLACE AN OFFER BETWEEN THOSE DAYS I WILL NOT SEE YOUR BIDS UNTIL JULY 6TH.
I will always enjoy my sorceress BlizardOfOz most. The build should be clear with this name...
Blizz - or Lightning Sorc.
With Enigma most of the speccs are really enjoyable for me though.
If there wouldn't be resistances & Teleport in the game i'd probably allways play Javazon.

Strafezon, I like ranged weapons and a speedy zon. With a perfect Faith as main weapon and a Windforce as second weapon it's hard to beat for fun.
Please post offer in item trade before adding me on Bnet, I'm in EST time zone (E Coast U.S)
