It will obviously slow down, because a portion of the people currently playing on NL will at least partially spend their time on Ladder, hence fewer SoJs found. But it won't stop altogether, simply because there will always be people playing on NL.Szambodiver wrote: 2 years ago Do you think frequency of walks will drop after ladder start?

How did you get 3?h4ldol wrote: 2 years ago Got lucky and got 3 annis on this walk. Finally got a pretty decent one too, 19/19/7, on my 10th anni since 2.4 (and none before). Thanks to all who sold the SOJs.
Will consider offers other than asking price. Generally looking for runes and keys.
Be online, kill fast and jump into lobby games.
I would expect the number of walks to be reduced.Szambodiver wrote: 2 years ago Do you think frequency of walks will drop after ladder start?

Still belive a lot of the walks are triggered by farmers and shop owner - with dropping prices for NL items they will focus on Ladder.
Despite the value for NL stuff is still relative high so I don't expect it do dissapear.
But that's just me and my crystal ball (singular - not balls!) - so maybe I'm compleletly wrong =D
Is someone still stuck with the Americas stage 2 bug? Been updated to 2 a surprising amount of times, despite still being at 1.
(Though admittedly one of those times was myself because I managed to mess up the region switch without noticing so was still looking at Europe..ugh)

It will drop greatly for sure. All multiboxers will move over to ladder, so I'd reckon the walks on non-ladder will become very few and far in-between.Szambodiver wrote: 2 years ago Do you think frequency of walks will drop after ladder start?

Yesterday's NA walk will probably be the last one for some time to come.
Realistically, we won't lose players with ladder start (at least not beyond what we lose every day anyways). We merely split them up between ladder and non-ladder. As a result, the SoJ drops, too are split up between those two (actual ratio TBD).
Generalizing, that SHOULD result in the same number of total walks we'd get without ladder except they'd be spread out between ladder and non-ladder moving forward.
Three points messing with that though:
- Farmers will need time to get set up, likely resulting in less walks during early ladder.
- Folks are still more inclined to actually use their SoJ due to lack of BK and such as they gear up, also resulting in less walks during early ladder.
- There is a lot of speculation/assumption about folks coming back to the game as ladder starts. If that is true, it should also subsequently increase the total number of walks.
So basically, early ladder we should probably expect a drop in walks. And then as ladder matures a bit (1-2 weeks I would guess), it should pick up to the same total as now, if not more due to possible returning players.

Would be agonizing if Europe proceeds to 3/6 too .... just to stay there for the next 24 hours.
