Description

Device: PC
Browser: Chrome Version 96.0.4664.45 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Windows 10

Steps to reproduce: When enabled, Push notification act crazy, multiple entries for the same message. When disabling them they still pop up. I want them disabled but I'm stuck with them :(

Anything else to add: Please fix the Disable button

Push notifications retired in 1.34.

TLDR; Couldn't fix it as original dev went AWOL. Was using a huge amount of server resources, only a handful of users actually using.

For a workaround, go to your notification settings and use email notifications. Your device probably generates push notifications for these.

In response to this particular ticket, if OP visits site again, the old service worker will be removed from their browser's local storage. That will completely stop any push notifications even after a failed attempt to stop them on the site's UI.

Yeah, this is a known issue for now unfortunately. For now the only way to stop them once enabled is to disable push notify for each type of notification individually on the Notification Options page.
