You are not marked as the buyer - someone else is. That's why you can't give trust.
Also it looks to me like the person who did get marked as the buyer had special characters in their username. Special characters don't work with trust, and new registrations prohibit special characters for this very reason. This is described in the v1.0 patch notes see my signature for link.
If you want to be marked as the buyer, you'll have to contact them and get them to have it changed.
Working as intended, not a bug.
