Howdy! I can still remember the early days of dial up modems, fighting the missus for the phone line, and 'head to head' Total Annihilation, Descent and Command & Conquer. Turn based 4X games have been a major time sink for me especially Civ 5 and 6, HoMM 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7, and Might & Magic 6, 7 & 8. Last year I got back into vintage EQ on the Mangler (Time-locked) Progression server.
I was in an Aussie D2 guild called Southern Cross which was led by a great guy called Leo Armstrong, way back before OG release. I helped create a Southern Cross guild for Everquest 2 when it was released, but didn't stay for long and headed back to original EQ (and its 26 million expansions!). I returned to EQ2 in 2009 and Southern Cross Guild was still going strong.
